The Lord’s Will

Ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
A Christian has a motivation that is totally different from the world. An unsaved person makes a plan and attempts to execute that plan in his time and according to his way. But with a believer in the Lord Jesus, our will should be always according to His will. And often we don’t really know what that will is. So rather than making rash statements like, “Wow, this has been a great harvest. I’m going to add a huge storage bin to keep my grain in and retire to Florida,” we should always say, “If it’s the Lord’s will I would like to  .  .  .” Then, if the Lord arranges things differently than what we wanted, we won’t be disappointed or embarrassed.
