Eternal life — there is no end to it! It is life without end. The government was trying to make a treaty with the Native Americans, and in one place put in the word “forever.” The Native Americans did not like that word, and said,
“No — put it, ‘As long as water runs and grass grows.’” They could understand that.
“The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life.”
