Demas . . . loved this present world.
Demas, at one time, traveled and worked with the Apostle Paul. But there came a time when the attractions of the world became too strong for Demas and he left the Apostle and went away. How sad Paul must have felt to have one of his companions leave him - especially knowing that what he had left for would not satisfy him. Satan is determined to draw each of us away into his world of lights and lures. And the pull is especially strong for you young people. Keep in close communion with the Lord. The more you enjoy Him, the less you will be attracted to the world.
