And the sun has reached the west,

Sweetly in Thy love reposing,

I would lay me on Thy breast.

Jesus, Lord, I thirst for Thee,

Thou art all in all to me.

Thou hast taught me of the union

Of my newborn soul with Thee,

And in hours of deep communion

Thou hast spoken, Lord, to me.

Jesus, now I thirst for Thee,
