Together With Them

“For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up TOGETHER WITH THEM in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
“Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thess. 4:16-18. (Read 1 Thess. 4:13-18).
For loved ones who have gone before,
Who now in Jesus sleep;
As others, e'en, who have no hope,
O sorrow not, nor weep.
When Jesus comes to call His own
To meet Him in the air;
The dear ones who in Jesus sleep
Will God bring with Him there.
“Together with them" in the clouds
We'll meet our blessed Lord,
And dwell with Him forevermore,
According to His Word.
To be forever with the Lord,—
What comfort this doth bring!
“O grave where is thy victory?”
“O death where is thy sting?”
“Let not your heart be troubled, then,”
We hear the Savior say,
“I will prepare a place for you,
And come again some day.”
Together in the Father's house
In mansions bright and fair,
We'll dwell with Him forevermore
And all His glory share.
“Let not your heart be troubled." John 14:1.
“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him." 1 Thess. 4:14.
“Thanks be unto God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Cor. 15:57.
