The First Doctor.
I'd like to refer to.
At the beginning.
Not to adopt one.
And verse 15.
Connection with the production that God has given given to Israel in the land of Canaan.
I said there, then we shall return under the land of her possession.
And enjoy it.
And enjoy it.
I want to put the emphasis on the news and joy what God has given us in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We have protection in our blessed Lord and things.
And we read in the book of Ephesians.
This book answers to Joshua. There we read that we're blessed with all spiritual blessings.
In the heavenly, in Christ.
That's our possession.
It's one thing to have these things, one thing to know that their power, but it's another means to enjoy it.
Not the enemy of our souls who seek to keep us from encourage the Lord Jesus Christ.
We thank God for everyone who knows the Lord Jesus Christ and Savior.
And I believe, perhaps that most of you have received Christ as your guy owes.
But how much of flesh are you enjoying?
How much is the blessings? Are you enjoying your soul?
That's the point that afternoon.
Enjoy and grace.
Now we might say, for you who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Now that's the first thing necessary for you.
God wants to be saved.
He's not willing that any should carry. God wants you to have His wonderful possession.
Lord Jesus Christ and all the blessings in David.
And then after you say he wants you to enjoy this, not for you who do know the Lord Jesus Christ is Savior. They cannot do anything about that. No doubt trying to hinder you from himself, but now that you are the Lord, Satan will drive the next day.
And that is to hinder you from enjoying the Lord Jesus Christ and all the blessings you give.
So we have the few things in this verse that speak up possession, and it speaks of enjoying the possession.
You have the possession, you have breaking. Are you enjoying Him? You have all the possessions, all the blessings in Christ, are you enjoying them?
I might ask myself, am I enjoying them? I know I'm not enjoying them to support and Nicole argue.
Over all, the truth for veterans here.
Who know the Lord Jesus Christ better?
Going more, we have more blessings. We have everything that God wants us to have in the Lord Jesus Christ the moment we receive Him as our Savior. But the enjoyment of Him and what we have in Him is the color thing.
Now, if we preliminary remarks before us, let us turn to Ezekiel prophecy.
$40, Doctor of Ezekiel.
I have in mind you use these few words here.
As far as they illustrate or parable the daughter of a figure who brings before this afternoon something which I believe is equal.
00:05:18
Additional Doctor 47.
Afterward he brought you down to the Torment house and revoked water heated up from under the threshold of the housekeeping first, and for the forefront of the house, good for the east, and the water came down to under the right side of the house at the South side of the office. Then brought me out of the way that came off work, and let me get out of the way without unto the other way by the way.
That looked at eastward.
And behold the land of water on the right side. I'm going to man that had the line at this time went walk eastward. He measured the 1000 cubic and he dropped me through the water. The water worked through the ankle again. He millions of thousands and dropped me through the water. The wallets were through the knees.
I guarantee the thousands and brought to you.
The water working the Lord afterward you measured the 1000 and it was a river that I did not pass over, but the waters were raising water for swimming aware that could not be passed over.
And he said unto me, Son of man and God, see this. Then he brought me to return to the break of the river. Now that I have returned before the back of the river where very nice trees on the one side and on the other.
Then said you gotta see these waters issue out for each country and go down into the desert and going to see which they brought forth into the sea. The water shall be needed and it should come to times that everything that comes the river shall come, shall live, and there can be a very great multitude of faith.
Because these water shall come thinner, so they shall be healed.
And everything shall live. Where will there come?
That first round by the river, upon the plaster out on this side, on that side, y'all grow off things for me whose grief shall not faith ye shall good to African truth. It will force you through the quarantine. Because there are waters. They keep it out of the sanctuary.
And a good philosophy for me, I believe there are for medicine.
Well, certainly here we've got a picture of lessons growing up.
This is a part of the description of conditions during the Millennium, when the Lord Jesus Christ will reign that day at Jerusalem.
But we're not going to talk about that. We're going to apply it to ourselves. Here's the afternoon.
Now over in the group of violations, the 26th or the 22nd chapter, we read about this water of life, the prayer of a water of life blowing out of the throne. But I do, it's the same, same river.
Speaking of the same faith that millennial blessing blowing up.
And here it takes that flowing up the sanctuary and Revelation is picture that going off from the probe. But who is in the sanctuary? The Lord Jesus Christ. Who is on the road, the Lord Jesus Christ?
Blessing comes from God himself, through the Lord Jesus place and blessings and coming all the way.
There is none other name under heaven given most men whereby we must be saved all in the name of Jesus. It all is through the Lord Jesus Christ that letting them come. And here we see that there's a river blowing out and the picture of the blessing that God wants us to have.
And you give soul this afternoon if you have the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.
00:10:02
You don't have this blessing, but if you know the Lord Jesus Christ is your Savior, this blessing is yours. This river of the water of life has thrown into your heart, and the blessing is there. It's yours.
But the question is, how much are you enjoying?
At what depth are you?
In these things, are you a shallow Christian or are you exercise about rolling free and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Christ? Are you satisfied that we may remain a page in the Lord's things or do you want to grow?
In the epitome of God, we read about father young men and they what it brings before the fact that it's possible to be in different states of maturity. Not a lot would claim to be fathered, but yet it's put before us there and the standard after.
The desire of what our hearts to be fathered.
In the things of the law.
It should be our desire to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Firstly, we want to employ the things of Christ more than we do. Are you satisfied?
It was easy to settle down these days and to satisfy with the measure of growth to which we had a pain. I'm satisfied with that.
While Peter was satisfied, he said, Bro, I'm going off.
It's great I have a knowledge of our Lord and Sage of Jesus Christ and God Christ Lord, learn more about the blessings you have. Indeed or so important.
That's the reason why God who had the best the names of Jesus Christ, many of them.
For going into the world and the reason for.
Now they were told, growing in the crazy knowledge of the Lord.
Finding the Lord Presence and enjoying his things. He's not going to try to find his enjoyment in the world and the things of the world. That's one thing. Sure, now he died from there, but souls are seeking enjoyment.
They're keeping happiness.
But what are you trying to find?
Where am I trying to find happiness?
What is my come up in various ways we might try to find enjoyment in many different things.
About the experience, there is only one place that we can find real and lasting happy minutes and not in the Lord Jesus Christ and the blessings that we have with you.
Here, in this thing that we have brought before indeed, do we find that the man who measured the line raised Ezekiel through the water.
And the water are to the end. Well, that would tell us perhaps that they just kept in. They just stepped in to the rest and it was up to the anchors.
It will tell us from the beginning and with everyone who knows the Lord Jesus Christ and Savior, there has been a beginning.
Like with the children of liberals and the one they were to leave Egypt.
They were under the shelf of the blocks 1St and then they were brought up by the mighty following God, and God told, This shall be the beginning of monster unto you. Now you have come under the shelves of precious blood of the Lord.
And you can stay from staying in the penalty of faith. You've had an experience of which that thing, that of which we read in Exodus.
It's in the beginning for you.
By accepting Christ as Savior among the devil, the present blood, you're saved from government. You passed from death of the light at the beginning.
00:15:02
Now I ask you, have you had oxygen? Have you stepped in to the river of the waterway?
As you step in to the river of God blessing, are you there? Do you know anything about it? Well, I have to say that I know my sins are gone. I'm not coming into touch. I'm on my way to heaven and I'm happy.
Well, if you expect me to see souls deceive the Lord Jesus Christ the Savior.
And that the God of sins forgiven, nor the peace of God in their hearts, good feeling in the Lord Jesus Christ, knowing that they're satisfied from all things whereby they do not be justified by the law of movement. It's a it's a joy to see that.
I want you to say that for myself. I know the God of sin forgiven.
But that's the second year at the beginning and it's regression.
You step in to a mountain free of cool water on the hot summer days. It's refreshing business to step in, even though it's only to the angle. But we find that those who who want to go little.
Into the water I'm not represented here as he wanted to the knee his mind on the may be wine. Hey, come on out into little deeper water and the water to the knee.
We find these little children.
The first time they get into water, perhaps they want to get into the water only to the angle as the drawer of older they may dense out a little further.
I'm not going to give it over again. A little further and finally we find that their way out of deep waters women.
Welcome back to illustrations of what we're spending on this afternoon.
But here we have water to the knee. Thank God for the beginning. Thank God He stepped in. What are you going to remain right by the door and the teeth in the blessings of God? Is that all you want to enjoy? The fact that you're in means that it's all for you.
But sometimes dear Christians are satisfied business to his God.
The elementary faith of Christ, elementary faith in the God, and we're not encouraging that, but I believe that we should encourage one another to grow, to go into this thing deeper, to enjoy the blessings of God more than you do.
Here we have to deny. Well, it's water to the ankles. Speaks of the beginning.
I'm not going to savior then walk to the knee for how to speak to us.
Our main Jesus, the Lord of our life.
National crisis Your faith? What is he your Lord?
I've revised the need for him. We might ask, are you afraid?
Well, it seems strange the doctor behind, but I'm afraid very often Christians forgot to pray. Do you spend a little time alone with the Lord every day?
Talking to Him to above the knee before him. Not to say like that very, very much. I can't say very many words, but the very fact that you take down signs of bother me. Bend your knees before the Lord and humble and support Him as dependence upon Him.
Why? That means much to the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you doing that? Are you spending time in prayer? We might ask again.
You know the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior, but what are you going to freeze him?
Are you asking to his request? Have you thought to him only Miss Lawrence and taking your place that the Lord table.
Oh how important that is. I don't believe you can enjoy the things of the Lord.
00:20:04
With adaptive the needs that there were until the problem needs on his devil to the Lord Jesus and given that place in your heart that belongs to him.
My son, he says, give them heart.
My son gave thy heart.
Mind, yeah.
After he received the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart, He wants your heart. He wants you to be used to Him, bowing to Him, making Him the Lord of your life, and then you will be enjoyed the blessings of the Lord more than you did before.
Now we have something else here.
That he took water to the wine, water to the wine.
We read in the 13th Doctor John's gospel while the Lord Jesus Christ birthday S to the tower, and one should decide to speak.
That is first practice service that he was performing for his decision. Perhaps Water to the Vine might speak to us about Sir for others.
What happens at?
And serving the Lord Jesus Christ in that way he well again the Lord.
We read in Ephesians the 6th chapters about our wanting to convert this truth.
Avoid truth.
We have our life vertical. We know the word of God to such an extent that it has become a practical thing in our lives.
You know, sometimes workmen put a lot of turtle around their waist, their wine to strengthen their time for heavy lifting.
Well, the truth of God is like that. That can occur.
It comes certainly close. It comes close to us perfect without.
But we can't expect to really serve God separately unless He left the truth of God. Search out our consciences and we look to the Lord for grace to obey what He has told.
God is not commanding.
He gave it over in his official.
You might just look at that. He's not commending.
In there.
If a burden of God, he's not commended for having a lot of truth. The first great thing when the president came to testify the truth, that is indeed he used the walkers in truth.
You're not thinking about having a truth, but walking in the truth.
Or when the truth and the truth in and walking in.
And we can't search unacceptably on that Tuesday dinner, and we're walking in it unless it's stretching the doubt.
So we have three things now, right at the beginning.
Enjoying the things of the Lord and the deep.
That's why the things of God seeking then enjoying the things that cause loyalty.
Where are we? To what extent are we enjoy the things of the law?
Now we go down and we believe that they got to a point.
Whether it wasn't swimming a river.
That couldn't be passed forward. They couldn't get to the bottom of them. Well, that tells us I'll keep the blessings of God unfathomable. We were Speaking of the love of God.
This morning already and we made that love and we found then we get to the top of the high dollar the breadth of the rain cover never if we could measurable love of God now.
00:25:06
Why we must think that we gave a new shot for all the love of God is so great that there's enough other parts to enjoy forever and ever.
How much are we enjoying it now? It's a ridiculous women.
It's an ocean attacking pastor.
I will really enjoy a blessing that we have in practice season.
How much you have heard some brother or some sisters in broad curves speaking well of the Lord Jesus Christ?
And speaking in such a way that you know that they were enjoying faith to a great extent in their hearts. What you said, well, I really don't know what they're talking about.
Yes, I know Jesus is my favorite. I know my sins are forgiven and I'm not going to come into judgment. I'm going to heaven.
But I don't understand.
I have to have said it all the way obviously out miles to anyone could hear, but then you thought.
I have.
You think so? Please.
Secret warning in the heart. Oh, I will find God. The Lord give things my soul so down. Maybe there's a longing like that in your heart. You wish to enjoy the Lord more than you do.
Well, let's do what Peter said, Watch out into the teeth, wash out into the teeth. Now if the work of God to save the soul.
It was the word of God to bring the children of Israel into the land of Canaan.
But after they were in one, then it was their business to enjoy it, and it took diligence upon their part who went into the engines of the whole land because there were enemies there had to be overcome, and dear young people.
You know what? Jesus Christ is your Savior. That's God's work. He saved your soul, but now it's up to you.
As to what nature you're going to enjoy, crazy, in what nature you're going to enjoy it. How much enjoyment are you going to get out of the salvation that God is hearing you? How much are you going to get out of this wonderful salvation?
You have to use diligence. They are enemies that will try to keep you from enjoying the Lord Jesus Christ.
And all the blessings that we have indeed. And they're busy.
The Word, the flesh and the devil. Yes, the flesh within is an enemy. Not all staff. There's a word and the devil outside.
They're working together to keep you from enjoying all the blessings that are yours in the Lord Jesus Christ is capability. It'll take what we were seeing.
All in this is.
It says indeed I live.
And I live, yeah, Paul said. For to me to live is crazy. And not only do we have life, but we have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, who is the power of our new life. And certainly it will mean that we must go on in the power of an untreated spirit if we are to enjoy all that we have in the Lord Jesus Christ.
It will need constant self judgment.
Confessionally, I am nothing, yet all possessed.
Are we going to say need to be constantly before making everything up right?
I'm making nothing yourself.
What is Christ on the road and making nothing yourself?
Going on with the Lord while we're judging ourselves, Oh, how important it is. And we can come to the Roman place.
We've been invited to do so, and there's some always going to pray to steady mercy and find grace to help and find me. Perhaps you find that it takes an undue monoclonalism.
00:30:11
You really enjoy the things of the law.
Lord, may the Lord give us grace.
But we might enjoy these things more.
Let me speak to water swimming.
I like to think of being with the law. That's what we've been talking about in our reading this morning, being with a place.
Not only.
In case of death, but being with him eternally and enjoy all that we have and give over in God's 17.
In his prayer, the largest expression to his desire. Verse 24.
Father, I feel that they often without giving me the with me where I am.
But they may behold my glory. Stop giving me without loving me before the foundation of the Word. That's the Lord desire for you and me to be with me.
Beholds, Lord, to endorse a full of blessing.
We're here now in enjoying all that we have in Christ. But then there won't be any hindrances. And then you have truly the experience that we've never had it before. But here are blessings like a river, like an ocean water through swimming.
What we have presented to us as being the state of things in the future, to exercise our hearts, to want to enter into a whole right now. We don't have to wait until tomorrow. We don't have to wait until we're in the glory to enjoy the Lord and give things. We can enjoy them now. It's up to us.
It's not individually How much do we want to enjoy in town? How much happiness do we want?
Yes, it certainly is. We know.
That this water eastern out from the sanctuary.
That it went into the E country and down into the desert and into the sea.
And then when it got into the sea, the waters were healed.
And where the water went, it just everything lives.
This is a lot of life.
The blessing of God and Christ you, your soul is the mind and wherever that part of life goes, it brings life and all. What a joy it must it will be.
When that revelations out and that he is made alive, is all barren desert around there now.
Kind of like water of life. It's flowing into us and we're enjoying that river, the water of life, the blessing of God in Christ Jesus. What does it do to us? What makes us happy? It's refractive, not what's needed.
It's all very simple.
There's not a complicated formula for happiness. No, it's not a convenience thing. Sometimes some people might think, well, it's going to take a lot of energy and effort and so on to be a happy Christian. It doesn't cost too much.
I I can't. I can't. I can't believe I can't change you. I don't see how I.
Become a happy person. But it's all very simple. It's just as simple as receiving forgiveness of peace and knowing the Lord Jesus Christ this evening.
Just well by all of the ears and all that he's done for him. Well, that means he'll take time for medication through speaking about prayer and where you where do you learn of the Lord Jesus place and all the blessings you have indeed.
Right here in this book.
You have to take time.
Are you spending time in reading the word as well? I'm in prayer. I'm not talking about just some years or funk three and a big group praying and reading.
00:35:19
And spend a little time we meditated on what you're reading. Let's get down into your soul and say, well, I don't know how. Ask the Lord about it. Tell him that you want to read his word and get something out of and I'm sure you get something out of it for your soul.
What good would it be?
Or have a nice day full of food.
They will step deliciously and put food on the table if we never are cook off.
Will God have provided everything richly under the London? But what good is it to us really, if we're not partaking out and enjoying it? God wants us not only to be saved, He wants to come to the knowledge of the truth.
God wants to save you, but he wants to be happy.
He not only wants a family, but he was a happy family. Not only was children, but he was happy children and.
Those who are God, who are children of God.
And the greatest reason to be happy because we are given a rich father, and I have a Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, the creator of the universe.
As our favor, as their high priest, as their Lord.
As their right truth on someday we're going to be with him, we're going to be liking and we're going to reign with him.
Are you thinking about that? Are you doing that? And then we're going to be with him for all charities.
Well, we're enjoying Christ a little bit now. We're surely anticipating that time when we will be with Him and sending joy into the pool.
While I try to leave you remarks connected with this chapter, what exercise our hearts?
Because certainly there's room for growth on the part of everyone, and let us without peace and really enjoy all the blessings of God, the United part of ours in the Lord Jesus Christ.
And we're not enjoying his Father in the gospel, nor it is it's our own fault which we're not happy for you. God wants us to be happy. And may the Lord give us great not only justice step in. And he requests by no one place to stay.
What are you saying to the knee? Let's get into the morning. Let us watch out into the deep and swim in. My God has provided for Christ Jesus as you serve, enjoying it to the full mouth.
And I'm sure that if we're enjoying the Lord Jesus Christ to the full will not wash the things in the world. We'll be captured, we'll say, about the ground.
I've got greater joy now than I've ever had before, and the world can't give me these joys and the word.
Has has nothing to offer.
Perhaps he can't understand that kind of life.
Right proof, Lord, prove me now in how much we are of blessing.
Thank you can't even contain all you have. The Lord wants you to be happy, supremely happy. He wants me to be happy. May the Lord give us praise.
To live in dog while he has Earnhardt is the Lord.

Toronto, Canada.
Marks the 31St 1961 Gospel Meeting.
There is a savior on high of the foreign.
Savior suffered on Calvary 3.
Savior is willing, save. Now as ever, his arm is almighty, his love great and free.
The remain seated and same #10.
As we've been on the same #14 has few cases power #14, let me stand up please.
00:10:57
I suppose then this company tonight.
There are some.
Though I believe that maybe the majority here tonight know the Lord Jesus as their personal savior.
There may be some that this all the night were not yet under the shelter of the precious blood of Christ. I suppose that every one of us here who are Princeton can look back to that time in our lives. And we did not know the Savior. And we let them say at the start of this meeting, before we turn to God word that I bring man and woman, I drink boy and girl.
Never yet for the speed price, as their personal savior tonight is lost.
LOST.
How solemn it is to come into this room, all my friends who believe that as the gospel goes forth, the enemy of your precious soul will do all of his power to stop you from hearing not the preachers going, but the very voice of God speaking to your precious, never dying soul. I want to ask this question before we turn to God's word.
I want to ask you, my friends, every man in this room, every woman in this room, ugly boy, girl in this room. I want to ask you this tomorrow question.
If you had died last night.
All friends are problemless. If you have died last night, I asked you, where would you be right now?
Now, my friends, at the solemn, solemn question, but I wonder, if it made that you sat in that chair and you answered that question, where would you be now?
If you had passed away during the last 24 hours.
If you have passed away without Christ, you would be an eternal darkness away from God forever.
In your sins.
Non electric grain will pour it at night. 5 pressures in the word of God. The first question is found in the first chapter Book of characters.
The first question I believe that God ever asked, man.
The burly burning stomach questioned it.
The phone of the third gesture of Genesis.
And verse 9.
And the Lord God called unto Adam.
And sit under him. Where art thou?
All my friends at the first bikes and I believe that God ever asked, man.
At the very solemn crisis because it's calibrate and these three words where art, well, the thousands of men is lost.
Because of man is a fallen creature, The man is away from God and God asked that question.
Not because you know where mine was.
But because God couldn't see Adam that I believe that God would have this quite sense from this platform tonight.
Where art thou? Where are you hiding?
Where every unsaved man and woman is hiding away from God, and God asked us some questions. Where art thou?
00:15:06
There was a man.
Would only spend 1.
Say it was on it's United Nations record, wasn't serious and that wasn't sinned. Be committed. Send them away. Hiding behind the brains of the garden to hide away from God. He only had a record of 1 sin.
That one stands all the way from the presence of God.
Now, my friend, I want to ask you tonight if you're unsafe here, without Christ, without hope, without God in this world, I want to ask you about your record.
You stand up in the way to come up with the front here and say I have a record like Adam. I only have one sin against my name. You know, my friends, I know, but my own self, that our sins are many, our sins are many.
You know all that our life history is one that is black. And you know, my friend, you know, solemnly know. And if you knew you were released this world tonight, you would be in deep exercise about your soul welfare.
For after death, God said.
After death, the judgment, you have to stand before God tonight you like. To the very start of this meeting, we like to bring you into the immediate promise of law and zone.
Brothers of the presence of Christians, but into the presence of the 1080 God, a God who loves the Sinner, but a God who takes sinners with all his power, with all his life. And God asked that question, Where art thou?
An item was hiding behind the screens of the garbage.
And he was dressed in his piggly paper.
And he sighs in the presence of God. And he says I was negative. Negative. My friends tonight, where are you hiding?
Are you hiding behind your good work? Are you hiding behind your religion? Are you hiding hiding behind some sort of things you're doing in your life? You're not concerned in God? I made it. I made it.
When I sigh of the Lord Jesus outside of his death and resurrection, outside of his practice. Plus there's no salvation for any style of animal grace.
So tonight in this first question.
God will have it, the great New York Constant in New York, very hard into the very depth of your soul, my friend, Where I thou?
Where are you hiding tonight, my friend? Where are you hiding? Are you saving your life, heaven bound or hell bound?
Paper lock. There's no middle ground. There's no new salivators either. Tonight, you're on the way to eternal glory with flames.
Or you're on your way to eternal darkness without, right?
And we say again customer is not relationship.
There's no record in the word of God of the third cloud, save your love. He the believers in the front of God have everlasting life, first class, but he that believeth not shall not be life.
But the wrath of God of minus on him too fast you.
Earn one of those two matches.
Have you yet made that wonderful Discovery Insurance dinner?
Nothing yet found out that the word of God from sternum, who is true with all our sins and some jaws of the glory of God, there is no difference. God speaks the whole world and he says there's no difference.
For all of them, and come short of the glory of God. I ask you, tonight you discovered yet all I come to my friends the wonderful discovery.
To find out you're a Sinner and you'll never get to the heavens when you do the first steps of heaven.
Is to find out your law. Guilty. Penalties. Earning sinners. That's the earnings. First step is the glory of God.
00:20:04
Until you find out that, my friend, you'll never get saved, never. You'll never come to Christ. So you'll find you're a poor lock young Sinner. And so the next question?
And then the 4th chapter.
In the book of Genesis.
Here we find a gain of crisis that God is asking.
The ninth verse of chapter 4.
The Lord ceramic king, where is Abel, thy brother? And he said, I know not my my brother.
And he said, What hast thou done? How, my friends of the chapters, please. We find a man of lost. In chapter four we find that man is guilty.
How strong it is lost and guilty.
God, says the Cain, what hast thou done?
God not know, my friends. I speak rapidly.
Did not God know that Cain's hands were stained with the blood of ****? Who knew that exactly you were?
Bow with his holy eyes.
Cain as he killed his brother and yet he asked this question why didn't ask him to point out the came he was killed Asian. And the point of you tonight, my friend that you are guilty.
What have thou done? Saturday night we were visiting the lady.
And as he sat in her living room with her husband.
Smoking cigarettes.
He said. Well, I believe in all I have my own belief and I believe that.
You do the best you can, and you live a good life and try to see what's right. What else can God expect from a person?
And the speaker said this to her.
I wonder who was speaking to her said this. My dear lady, you realize tonight that you have a heart just like Judas and Charity. You have a harsh kiss like a dog, Hitler. You have a heart just like Iceman that murdered 5 million Jews. And your heart is no better than that man. Not a bit better, Not one bit better.
You and I are sinners, my friends. I want to turn. I don't ask you to turn, but I'd like to read to you a few scriptures.
Some God's words that shows God, God about your part of my heart.
In the 50th Jazz group.
The 50th Genesis Genesis VI verse 5.
Dot com.
That the wickedness of mind was greater than the earth with imagination of the cross.
Of this.
Was only evil continually.
14 Sam and the first verse.
Now I want to say, anybody in this room tonight is a stranger. I want you to solemnly realize that these are the words of the only living God to live.
The only living God who reach your heart, strong truth all through the negative opens of the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Sam 14 first one.
The fool is set in his heart. There is no God. They are corrupt. They have done a vulnerable work. There is nothing to do with good. The Lord looks down from heaven upon these children of manners of the sea. If there were any that did understand and teach God, they are all gone aside, they are all together, become filthy.
There is none that do us good. No not.
One, not one, is there, and what God says, not one.
Jeremiah chapter 17, verse 9.
Jeremiah 17 verse 9. Again, God is speaking. Listen to what he says. The heart is deceitful above all things.
00:25:07
And desperately or incurably wicked, who can know, I the Lord, search the heart and other friends, the division of the Old Testament, the writings of more of us.
The Sands and the prophets all testified from God himself. The man's heart is bad, true and true. Your heart and my heart, there's no difference. God, there no difference. A man walks to a scaffold rope tie around his neck and he stopped and he turned me his car. Just just like my heart.
Yeah, my friends, the men that nailed the Lord Jesus right to the cross of Calvary, A man who's been in the very face of the Son of God.
Same kind of a heart if you have a strong life and as I have some burning same kind of heart, no better, no worse. The harder the people above all things and incurably with it. That's what God cares. Now turn to the 7th of March.
And we find the New Testament in the gospel.
The Lord Jesus is speaking in the 7th chapter of Mark and he says.
In the 21St verse.
For from within.
Of of the heart of man. Notice, my friend, this is your heart tonight in the city of Toronto. This is your heart and my heart. For some of these out of the heart of man received evil thoughts, adultery, fornication, murders. Is possible, is a possible, my dear man, inside your heart. And my heart is murdered.
So says the Son of God. So say to the Lord of life and glory.
Heart I, the Lord burst the heart. He searches your heart. He searches my heart. And He says inside your heart, inside my heart I link murder for the cases that don't freeze. And he goes on set cover to the wickedness and so on. The very Christ of God searching your heart, my friend, searches into your very soul.
And in the third chapter of Romans, where he started tovert his head, the very crown of the head goes down to the body of the burning feet. And he ends it up by saying, there's none good, nor not one for all of sin, and come short of the glory of God. Friends, I solemnly ask you tonight to put aside your reasoning yourself, your suspicions.
Your false teaching, your religion as they put them all aside and believe us, God since you're a Sinner, if you're a Sinner, my friend, hopelessly loved, hopelessly loved. Let's daughter himself comes in and saves your precious soul. There is no salvation outside of Christ gone along and save the soul. And my friend is not the Christian is not the voice. The preacher is not the message from the preacher. It's only God can give life. Only God can give life.
We can go into the summer tonight. We could stand beside the grave hall to some dead person. Carlo Conyers Raven clear and they laugh out of the desperate. Marcus.
And all that the Son of God go into the summer tree, let the boys of the Son of God penetrate that grave, and that dead person will come out of her grave with light, because only Christ can give life.
And I pray tonight my dear friends and everybody in this room.
Will hear not my voice only, but the very voice of God seeking your precious, never dying soul. You may stand tonight in the presence of God. You may be brought in the very immediate trend of holy right, Holy God. You may struggle with your sins. Your sins may trouble you tonight.
You might have no arrests and no sleeping. No, you may sit there, my friend, winking in your chair and shivering and shaking in your chair as your skin bother you. My friend of your sins bother you, a man where I work said to me, I can truthfully say to you, my sins never bother me. I knew that man was an ungodly man, ungodly. Sad to say, in this country in which we lived tonight heard 10s of thousands, just likely.
00:30:15
Things never bother them in the work beds. They go off nights. They never pray. They curse God all day. They never pray into their badge. They go off the sleep they go and then sunlight. Their heart stops beating. They find themselves in a crazed with eternity. Are you here tonight? You, each other in a Christian? Parents who dare come into the gospel and walk out with a smile on your face without trace.
You who have to say, your father has to say. I hope my voice says I trust my girl, the Christian. But they've never confessed, right?
Oh, how fallen to live in the home of a Christian father, mother, and to grow up, and to reject the gospel of the grace of God, burns out solemnize.
How small it is to live in this world unsaved, without Christ.
I solemnly worn a night. I stay again reverently, and in the fear of God I say we would bring you the night into the immediate presence of Zara.
We like to do open up your heart unless you see your heart. And see my heart if God sees us.
Oh my friend, is to see yourself lost and guilty and on the way to judgment. To find yourself from the very top of your head to the very bottom of your feet, the very sole of your feet, To see wounds and bruises and future find scores. See yourself in a poor, lost, guilty Sinner.
Standing in the holy, holy, holy presence of God. Friends, I ask you, I ask every man in this room tonight, Every lady in the room, every boy, every girl in this room. Have you yet discovered yourself with a poor, lost, guilty, and deserving sinners?
You say But Sir, I'm not very bad. I've done the very best I can. I try to keep the 10 commandments. I try to live a good life.
I try to sleep my neighbors, I pay my bills, my friends. That's not the question. The question is if you are accusing is God says you're guilty. God figures you're not. I don't say you're guilty. I don't say you're guilty, my friend, we don't say you're guilty. Those who invite you to make to this call, we don't say your guilty, but God says you're guilty.
Let's know what he says in the third, third chapter. Wrong. He says that every mouse may be stopped, every mouse may be dark, and all the world becomes guilty. Guilty.
Before God, the whole world.
Is brought in guilty before God. Then you say, What will I do? What must I do?
How can I escape if I have to meet God, if death faces me, my friend? The word of God says it does. He says at the point of a man wants to die, the wages of sin is death, death. You have to leave this world. And if the Lord Jesus doesn't come soon we were Christians are going to have to leave this world by it yet. So we will enter into the presence of our blessed Lord.
We must pass through death, unless bright comes but you, unsaved friend that faces you.
And if the moisture eyes were flawed in death, you would not end in the grave as the agnostic and atheist says, but the more with your eyes.
Closed in death. The very moment your loved one started to weep over your dead body, that very warm with your eyes will open up.
In a priceless eternity.
And you would be conscious immediately that you were doomed for God's eternity, immediately not strong. I ask you rapidly. I ask you in God's name how you can sleep. How do you sleep at night? How can you go to bedroom, sleep at night? How can you close your eyes? How dare you sleep without strength? How dare you close your eyes and sleep and sleep for eight hours or 9 hours?
00:35:14
And you're standing with a gentleman of God hanging over you.
And the Lord coming may be this very night you will be doing for all eternity.
Doom for all eternity.
God tells us solemnly in second sentence, Chapter 2. He's going to send a strong delusion over those who've heard the gospel and rejected Christ. They're going to believe the devil's lies, that they all may be damned. Those are the very words of God himself.
All my friends, I solemnly warn you.
I solemnly warn to the Lord Jesus said in the 13th chapter, Roots Gospel, except he repent.
Ye shall all likewise perish. What does it mean to repent? That means the peck's eyes was gone against yourself.
To take size with God against yourself the same as God. You're a right, You're true. I'm a Sinner. I'm guilty. I'm lost. I'm hell deserving.
That's my friend. It's repentance. I ask you solemnly. Have you ever yet?
On bended knees of every yet found yourself in the presence of God, found yourself in the presence of God you might upon your breath like the public. And in the seventeen 18th chapter Lucan said, God be merciful for me, a Sinner, I say to you, my friends, you'll never get to heaven. You'll never get there until you find out your dinner.
So you'll find that you're lost.
So you'll find out that you're guilty. Now I like to turn to the next question.
If you found the Master 27.
And here we have the hope for the sinners all in this wonderful the sinners whole, The sinners refuse, the sinners peace, the sinners failure. The 27th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew. Here we find the Lord Jesus on the cross of Calvary. What a strong thing to think.
That this very world which we live, this world that's close to its education.
Both of us wisdom, both of us knowledge, both of us improvement.
This very world There lay the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and the prophets Calvary, and smash through his hand with nails and nails of the frog, having spit in his face, having crowned his head with thorns, having bruised and beaten his back, having showed him to rob in his place.
Which we live tonight is guilty.
Friends, listen solemnly, Is guilty of the murderers of the Son of God.
Are you seen again? I just read. And you did the other day in the press. Did this man Van Beckman is responsible for the death of 5 million Jews.
But I tell you, this world is guilty far more silly than that. This world has murdered the Son of God.
This world has murdered the Christ of God. This world is murdered. The beloved son of the Father. This world of my friends is dent back into heaven. The Lord Jesus Christ with the sail marked in his hands and speaking side the spear marketers side which is called God himself of this world does not want Christ. I ask you to make my friends. You want me love your shoes.
Isn't that wonderful?
The very God against whom you sinned. The very God whose name your blasphemy may be. The very God you pushed out of your life. The very God you never thank for your health and strength. The very God rubber thanks for your home, for the comfortivity of your life. That God loves you so much that he can't love you more. Isn't that wonderful? And so on the 27th chapter of Matthew's Gospel.
We read the 40.
44th verse.
The thieves, all that which were crucified with them, cast the same, in his opinion.
00:40:01
Now from the 6th hour that is 12:00 dinner time, 12:00 news. From the 6th hour there was darkness over all the land that was the 9th hour and above the 9th hour Jesus cried.
With a loud voice standing lies Eli Lamas, the back tonight.
That is to say, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Here we find the forsaken one, but the only man that God ever forsook, the only man that God ever perceived. What a solemn thing to be forsaken of God. There's no man living could be forsaken of God.
If God was to conserve you for one minute, my friend who died, you're very resting hands. Behold your very breath in his hand, the very heartbeat through his hand, through his power. And yet here we find the first taken one. Here we find in the hours of darkness the Son of God, the one of whom the heavens open in the third chapter of Matthew, and the third chapter of Luke, and the Father and boy said from heaven.
This is my beloved Son whom I am well pleased.
And now we find them forsaken. I ask you, why did God forsake them? Why would you forsake it? He asked the question. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Friends, you want to know the truth? Oh, I know there's many in this room tonight who can come up here in this platform and tell her with joy in her heart the answer to this solemn, solemn question and as eternal.
Ages roll on.
As the man of Christ Jesus stands in the midst of all his redeemed people, we will never hire Helen and retaliate the answer to this marvelous question.
My God, my God, why cut down for saving me?
As we turn our eyes upward into the very glory of God.
And we say, Lord Jesus, thou has forsaken because on that cross.
Thou was bearing my sins. My sins.
My own precious body in the tree He was made steady for us. He knew no sin. He might be made the righteousness of God and near me.
The Holy holy Right, holy Son of God.
Became the thin bearer on the cross of Calvary. You say, Sir, did he bear my sins? Did he bear my sins? If you'll believe them, if you'll customize your saves, Your thanks God for your sins. It's been taken into your heart and you're living, loving savior. Thank God.
Before your sins, the judgment of the God was poured upon his sparklers sinless heads.
And now he's Colonel's teeth. He curls, joy surrendering center of Adams Grace who invites the Lord Jesus into their heart by face. Oh, my friend, I asked you tonight, have you ever seen this picture? We we look, we sometimes the city where we come from, a Montreal.
There's a great cross stands and not royal and I know that people as they approach the great city.
They see on my royal lacrosse. It stands there. What does the cross mean, my friend?
It's some kind of a problem. He's no longer on that cross. He's no longer there. He's no longer in the brave. But praise the role and manhood has gone back into the glory of God and the night at the right hand of God.
Sits a man, a man, A real, living, glorified man.
At the right hand of God, and that man is my Savior.
Is your savior. That man died for my sins. That man suffered under the judgment of God for me.
Be your savior. Can you say yes? The Lord Jesus is my personal Savior. He died for me on Calvary Cross.
I ask you children of Christian prayers tonight. I ask you girls and boys.
00:45:06
Despite your personal savior, has he won your heart? Can you look upon that cross and turn back the pages 2000 years and see this sucks. Free won the first taken one upon the cross and they died for me Under this judgment of God. He died for me. He suffered the gun for the unjust to bring me the dog. He was wounded for my transgressions.
Bruce, my liquidity and the chasm of my peace is upon him, and with his right I am healed.
Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ and the Roman soldier the Pierce was died. The reply comes back from the God of all grace. The blood of Jesus Christ *** ****** landed us from all sins. Isn't it wonderful, my friend, to be a Christian?
Are you a president? I mean by a Christian, not a person that's not a Jew. I don't mean a person who lives in Australia. I mean a Christian who has Christ living in their hearts. I mean by a man or woman who has Christ in the heart for all others of faith.
All others are faced and false prophets on the way to eternal hell.
And I asked you, it's Christmas.
Does Christ live in your heart? Little boy, little girl, young man, young lady, I challenge you.
Does Christ live in your heart? If he doesn't, you're not saved.
Does Christ live in your heart? Is your heart The dwellings lay to the Son of God?
If it's not, you're lost. You're lost. You're going out of the pit. When regardless of race, color, please. Without pricing soul salvation.
My God, my God, why is thou forsaken the Lord Jesus?
Thou was forsaken in my room instead.
Die for me and you Stay with my friends and I can just say it from your heart. Right is my savior.
The next question we find in the.
Then chapter Matthew 27.
The 21St verse.
The governor, that pilot governor answers and said.
Unto them, whether of this way that I released unto you, I notice, friend, notice they said, Barabbas.
22nd, 1St violence sit under them.
What shall I do then with Jesus?
Which is called the Christ.
They all said to him, let him be crucified. Here we have.
Our 4th question.
Our 4th question might be Paul's decisions. You must decide for Christ or against Christ. And I should go to these doors. You might, you may say. But Sir, I'm neutral. I take neutral ground. I neither accept or reject. I say you can't do it. You can't do it. You don't accept Christ. Tonight you leave this room.
Then in your part of not with your voice, I will not receive, I will not have them.
For pirate question railing down to the centuries, what shall I do with Jesus, which is called the crisis?
Motor. There was no new astrology. There was no putting out the question. They all said let him be crucified. They came to a decision at once. They made a good decision. I don't suppose it was ever a strong question asked like this before.
And yet there was no going home to decide it. There was no going home to talk about it. There was no going home to pray about it. They made a literate decision, they said about him. He crucified or all in one mind.
It says we do not want right. We will not have the price. We will have parabola, we'll have parabolas, the robber. And God says in John chapter 18 the last verse now Barabbas with a robber.
This world there is crowd.
Educated man, businessman. The world leaders dare to ask why does God allow war? Why does God allow crime? When this world says we'll have the robber, we'll have to. Rather his hands are stained with blood.
00:50:11
But we'll have them anything but Christ. And this world is never in the game, That decision, this world still says tonight anybody but Christ. Anybody.
Yes, the beast, the Antichrist, anybody with Christ. We will not have Christ in any terms under God's heaven. This world does not want Jesus. I ask you to you, you want them. He loves you. He proved his love of the frog. He said of this from the very heart. I love to think of it.
Said For God so loved the world, that he gave his only big thoughts on the whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God loves you.
God has blocked the door to hell with a cross of Christ.
God has brought the road to hell with a glorious prophecy. And to go to hell you must jump over to cross and land yourself and tell my friends for God loves you and he proved his love.
He proved in love with all his heart. He gave his son to die for you.
All the Lord Jesus to say greater loveth no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends, and then he goes forward and dies for his enemy.
And shows a greater love.
The lowest price match was eternal, unmeasurable weather, right? He loves you. He loves you. My friend. Is there somebody on stage in this room? Somebody who's come to the end of themselves? Somebody whom God is brought down? Law. Doctor Danbury Law.
Maybe it makes your burden on your sins.
All I said is a welcome waiting for you. The very arms of Jesus take you into his heart of love.
The very gates of heaven stand open over the gates of heaven, that marvelous word.
Whosoever will may come and take the water of life, friendly God gives of Allah's party, that's giving God and the Lord, Jesus said to the woman the well.
If Thou healest God of the Giving God.
Thou was the master of him. He would have given me ******* water. What a God he is. He loves you, my friend. All of these words think down to your poor hearts. God loves you and you're a Christian Israel tonight, a Christian who's backsliding.
A Christian who's growing cold, A Christian who can look back at the last conference in this very room. And I remember a year ago when I was happy.
But the devil, I mean, all my happiness away, and I'm miserable tonight I'm miserable, I say. God loves you. The Lord Jesus stands ready to bring you back into restoration. Enjoying your heart. I praise God that everybody in this room, every Christian in this room.
Will receive the night of flesh. And in their hearts they leave this hall. Recession in Christ. And the matchless love of God is called as the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, my friends, are you saying tonight are you safe tonight? If you're not your love, what can I do with Jesus? You must do something. You you have to do something. You have to receive them. You have to receive. What shall I do with Jesus?
The world said we don't want them crucifying.
There's many in this room by the grace of God have received Him into our hearts. Is our precious Savior. Will you receive him tonight? He stands at your heart door. And knocked his tears at hand. Knocked in your hearts and behold, I stand the door and knock. Will you open your heart tonight and receive them into your life? Now our last question.
I think from the 22nd chapter.
As Matthew.
Yeah, the 22nd of my school and the first part.
Is 5 words of verse 42.
What since ye of Christ? All our questions what think he of Christ? There are those who come to our door sometimes, and we say to them, what think he of Christ. All they say, he was just a creature, just another man like us.
00:55:07
He was only another person, just like us. When I asked you tonight, my friend, what things ye of right, I turn reverently to the heavens. I look up into the very face of God, my saying, What's the yield, right, If it happens, bring out the dollars, Joy. This is my 11Th Simon, whom I find all my delight.
What seems to be a price, Peter? We say Peter, what do you think of Christ? Peter? What they give price Peter Diamond. Peter says thou art.
God, all my friends, what things do you right? He made the heaven, He made the earth, He made all things the opposed all things by the word of the power of the Son of God, turtles, and of God. Yay, God himself.
World.
Who was born? It's not wonderful the God to become a man in the person of Christ and for eternal ages. God in manhood will enjoy what sinners saved by grace, the results of his work on the cross of the hallway. And all heaven will ascribe to that glorious Savior who in the end of revelation says I Jesus, a ceremony, all the glory of God.
It's Spotify here in the Book of Revelation, and at the end of the fall, you.
There is Jesus, the Lord, Lady, Lord of Christ, man, a part of the glory.
Oh, we're going to dirt eternal Asia.
The president of that man?
His mother's broken every barrier down.
And we find ourselves standing the latest Christians.
And by the place of God we find ourselves standing on that rock, the Rock of Ages.
Only one euro part. You're a man the most.
I'm a bit. We're down the hall. I'm going to work Friday for you to go to Friends of God for speaking your soul. And I ask you tonight if you have heard not just my voice. God confessed, but.
We start the gospel hall versus two years ago the city Of Montreal and her ago who are now our brethren and Christmas Day pregnant gospel of the grace of God. We heard that voice touching our poor, poor, lost, darkened, hardened. That gentle boy said to make the night knife to Mike received Christ and many a knight who walked out of that gospel.
Saying no, we will not come, we will not come. But the wonderful love of God, the matchless grace of God from Marvel Slumber right, has broken the barriers down.
Christ is one of the hearts of many in this room tonight, and we can all often say Colonel's glory to his fearless name. Friends, I ask you to stay behind. We don't believe in getting you into a corner. We don't believe in force and convert, God forbid.
But I say again, and I say it in God's name. If God has spoken to your soul tonight, if God has spoken to your soul, I say, will you stay behind? Will you pray with us?
We'd be glad to answer your questions. We'd be glad to stay all late with you. We'd be glad to pray all night with you If you'll stay behind.
But my friends, I solemnly warn you. I solemnly warn you.
That as the gospel, the grace of God, goes forth, and as that loving pregnant boy from heaven speaks of, Come on to me, all you little labor heavy lady, and I will give you rest.
The history, Marlins History of the Devil brings out his poison.
Coins and said, wait until tomorrow night. Tomorrow night is Saturday night the way until Sunday night. And my friends, the Lord Jesus may come to night. The Lord Jesus may come while we're in our bed tonight the soap may be heard from heaven And ugly child of God.
01:00:07
Will leave this world to meet our beloved Savior in the air.
The second thing is you may die tonight. I want to ask We look into the faces of some tonight who reach the age of 60. Summer. Reach the age of 70. Some maybe you're over 70. You may die tonight. You may leave this world night. And I solemnly warn you.
To leave this world to make without Christ. Meaning you'll stand in your skin for more God, and you'll hear the voice of the Son of God.
This is all of my friends, and I pray you'll have no rest or no sleep tonight. You'll see the very lips of the Son of God open. And he said to you, depart from me. I never knew you.
I'm convinced in my inmost soul that will be the beginning of hell. For every Charlotte Adams races, sees those scratching flips open, sees that lovely face of the Son of God.
See those hands with a scars and nails The nail prints. And here's those lips. Say depart from me. And everlasting fire prepares not for you. Prepared for the devil and his angels. Friends, you can choose tonight. You can choose. You have to choose tonight. Will it be bright And we'll give the devil in his danger. Will it be the glorious Son of God?
In those lovely mansions of eternals glory. But we're still staying under him. We love this.
Watch Mr. Marsh bins in the Gold Precious Blood. There will be the dungeons of Hell, where the Lord Jesus said there should be weeping and wearing, and not in a seat which will be friends. I bow my head in prayer. Just one minute. I want to say this. There are only two masters, only two.
Bright and the devil. There's not three. The Lord Jesus said he cannot serve 2 masters.
Zoning 2. You see, those are the very words of Christ. You divide, my friend, if I ask you solemnly, which is your master?
Who is your master to leave this room you bear on my own master. You lie, you lie, my friend. Whosoever committed sin is a servant of sin.
Tell me, my friend, which is your master, on the one hand, the lovely Son of God.
You and died for me, the class of Son of God the Lord Jesus Christ, who loves you and died for you, the other Master.
Who God named the Revelation Chapter 20. The old circus baby. The Devil with only two. Which would it be for you? This is all of my friends Solomon. People don't like this kind of preaching. And then we'd rather have the preacher pickle our ears and tell us about the about a future world of righteousness and joy that is not found in the Bible.
World coming under gun, the gun from exhaust. He must flee a Christ, for Christ is the only state that God has for sinners. May God tonight it's all right, and Christ along for Christ alone his word of it.
All the praise and adoration under the Dean's heart of every state of strong eternal glory to his peerless man and his friend.

To the 25th chapter of Matthew's Gospel. Matthew.
Chapter 25.
Then shall a Kingdom of heaven enlighten. Of the 10 versions which took their laughs and went forth to meet the bridegroom, five of them were wise and five were foolish.
They were Foolish took their lands and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lands.
While the bridegroom carried, we all slumbered and slept. At midnight there was a cry made.
Behold, the bridegroom cometh though ye out to meet him.
And all those virgins arose trending their lamps.
The foolish got under the wise. Give us of your oil, for our lamps are going out.
The wise answered saying not so that's there be less, there be not enough for us, and you told you rather to them to sell and buy for yourselves.
While they went to buy the bridegroom cave, they that were ready went in with him.
Those are married and the door was shut.
After it came off to the other versions.
Saying Lord, Lord open to us.
He answered and said.
Narrowly I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither of the days nor the art wherein the Son of Man cometh.
I'd like to read part of one verse again.
Connected with another verse of Revelation, the sixth verse, the medal of the verse. Behold the bridegroom, Thomas, go ye out to meet him.
Now with third chapter revelation.
Revelation 3, verse 11. Behold, I come quickly.
All that fast which thou hast that no man.
Make thy crown.
Now going back to the 25th of Matthew again.
They're running in the rear of the desire. There are about six or seven.
Matthew 25.
I realize this, the young people's meeting. Perhaps in my reading, this portion of you wondered whether we more or less have the gospel before us. I realize this course is often taken up in the gospel.
The bus is on one part, especially in connection with this portion. Matthew 25.
There's a few thoughts connected with the Lord's coming.
Speaking of the Lord's coming, most that are here that have attended the meetings of the gathered Saints very much are familiar in a sense and a measure with the truth of the Lord's coming for His own to take them in the air to be with himself.
Sometimes it's good for us to be reminded of things that we know and to have the word thought to bear on our hearts. And it's with that thought in mind that.
Thinking about this subject as we were driving to Toronto.
Feeling in one's own soul at the coming of the Lord is very weird and so we were thinking of it back. Mentioned a few verses in this chapter to solve in the car and as we walked in the door. We were late for the morning meeting yesterday.
In the middle of the meeting, we walked in, in the very subject that dear brother, and we're talking about the coming of the Lord.
Dear young Christian friends, you and I are living in a very unusual day.
If you would have the choice.
As to when you might be born.
In the last 2000 years.
We couldn't have chosen.
And Montel Jackson. She couldn't have chosen a better time to be here than today.
Because there's a very unusual event.
That, we feel, is very near hand.
00:05:00
The coming of the Lord.
We feel as near hand.
Now, the blessed truth of this coming is this truth, but it's been enjoyed.
By many for many years. Here in this tank similitude there are 10 similitudes of the Kingdom of heaven we read together. The 10th 1:00 here in Matthew 25 has to do with this subject, the Lotus and the first verse.
It says that the Kingdom of heaven shall be likened unto 10 virgins, which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Now here in this transfer military, we have a picture of the professional church. It includes girls that are real, those that belong to kites, and those that are mere professors. Probably in this room today, there I know there are those that are real. Perhaps there are some here, those that are mere professors.
And in these 10 versions you have both included.
Well, in the early days of the church's history.
They had brought before them the blessed truth of the fact, but the Lord Jesus was coming back from the 14th of John. He told his own. He said, I go to prepare a place for you, And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself where I am.
There you may be also.
Now it says here in this first verse.
That they weren't forced to meet the Bridegroom. They were anticipating him. We have Christ brought before us here as the Bridegroom and they went for the medium. I like to connect that with the verse that we had in Thessalonians yesterday. The 1St chapter, it speaks there. Oppose Thessalonica.
So happily converted those that had such a living testimony among those about them.
And it says of them that they turn to God, arm idols to serve the living into God. What's the rest of the verse?
And to wait for his Son from heaven.
What a blessed occupation was theirs first. They turned their back on something. They turned their back on idols. They turned to God. They had him before the soul now. And it says.
Who serves the living into God and to wait for his Son from heaven?
And that's your privilege and mine to be found here in some little measure. If we are Christ, we belong to Christ, be found here in some little measure, serving him and waiting for his Son from heaven. Now one is sure that those words in the end of that verse to wait for his Son from heaven. It wasn't just a mental assent.
To the fact that he was coming, but they were looking for him.
Here in our first verse in Matthew 25 that they went forth that says to meet the bridegroom they were looking for him.
There was bridal affections there. He went forth. You know those two words they went forth speaks of separation and God had so worked in their hearts that there was separation from the things about. They left their dumb idols behind them, that is the Gentiles, and they turned to God.
They had the living God before them, and they were serving Him and waiting for His Son. Oh, now that is normal Christianity. It's your privilege and mine to be waiting, first of all, waiting for the sun from heaven. And then in the little while we're left here to be serving Him in what little measure the Lord gives us ability and the opportunity to do so.
And for them that occupation.
Waiting for a son from heaven. I believe we could connect up with another verse that we have in the epistles. It says.
They were waiting. I'm going to turn and read it, make sure that we get it right.
In in the second chapter of Titus.
00:10:03
We might go back to version 2 from where I had in mind I was thinking of a 31St.
But might start with the 11Th, 1St and the 11Th verse it says.
The grace of God will bring us salvation to all men that have appeared teaching us.
I was thinking yesterday we were Speaking of the grace of God in the Bible reading how it's his grace that saves us and it's his grace that keeps us and we're waiting for the grace to be revealed at the revelation of Jesus Christ. And here's another thing that was raised the grace of God teaches us that denying.
At verse 12 ungodliness and worldly lust we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world. Looking this is what I especially had in my looking for that blessed hope.
Well, that's what those at Thessalonica were doing. They were waiting for His Son from heaven, for their hearts. It was a blessed hope. You know, we have hope, God, in connection with a believer in two ways.
In Romans 5.
It says of the Christian that we rejoice in hope of the glory of God, and so the hope there is connected with coming glory. Not similar here, but here it's the person waiting for that blessed hope. Oh, that's the Lord Jesus, the Lord Jesus coming to take us to be with himself. And we have his coming brought in, in two aspects.
I believe the blessed hope is the hope of His coming, that show that will call us into His presence to be forever with Him. But then he's going to bring us back with him. He's going, coming back to this earth to take His rightful place and raise, and all his enemies will be put down under him and he shall have His rightful place here. Those who passed him out, those that despise him. God has given him an aim now. It's above every name.
The name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Oh, when that day comes, whenever I shall see him, and they also would Pierce him. It's going to be an appearing of boy. And that's the end of the verse. Waiting for that blessed hope and the and the glorious appearing of our great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.
But in the meantime, while looking for him.
You have brought out here in this verse all God would have us living in this sea, it says to His grace teaches us, but denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present evil world.
After searching word, isn't it? You know, especially when we're young. I believe there are certain areas in which Satan tempts us in a special way. But the word here is His grace teaches us at denying ungodlyness and worldly love. There has to be on the one side that denial of self seeking now to heal ourselves to the Lord and to His way in our lives.
Then you have a positive and there are three things in connection with living here soberly, righteously, and godly. One is saddened. Perhaps the thought is here. Soberly would be more the state of our own soul, an inward thing. Righteously would be our relationship with others, those about us, our dealings with those that we come in contact with, whether our brethren or the world at large. And then godly.
Has to do more that relationship upwardly with God himself. Other young Christians, this should be a little picture of your name. We should be looking for that twice at home, looking for the Lord, waiting for hearing the moment when he'll come and take his home. And then our lives here should be characterized by sobriety, righteousness, and godliness.
Well, we believe that back in or turning back now to Matthew 25.
We believe when it says that they went for come eat the bridegroom, and they went forth, that was that separation from the things down here and the things of earth, and their eyes and their affections were centered on that Blessed One above whom they learned to love, whom they knew was coming for them, and they were waiting for that moment.
00:15:06
When he would come and call his own to be forever with himself.
Well, now I don't want to go into great detail on this camilitude. It wasn't my thoughts, but just a few pertinent thoughts as we pass on. It says in verse five with while the first of all, verse four, we have the foolish first three and four maybe have the coolers referred to and the wise that's which constituted them fully was if they had no oil in their land.
And the wise were those that had oil in their vessels.
Oil and the Scriptures so often speak to the Spirit of God and everyone, the trust in Christ where it's real. Christ gives that soul the spirit to end well. And then he's characterized by one that has oil in the land, because oil, the indwelling spirit, is the power in the believer for life of testimony.
They had lamps.
They were to be alive in this world. We were speaking the brother that spoke to the young people yesterday referred to the fact that we're to have our loins girted. I believe we're loins girded speak special in connection with service in the in the the 12Th chapter of Luke in connection with those that went to meet the bridegroom. It's both of them. Let your loins be dirty and your life burning. That is in addition not merely.
Serving the Lord, but being a true testimony to Him in this dark sea while we await the time when He takes us to be with Himself. Your life burning. Well, to have a life burning and continue to burn or have to be oil. And so one has to 1St receive Christ as his Savior, and then he receives the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is the power of being a light in this dark sea.
Oh, I trust, is there any here to be characterized by the foolish virgins?
Never having trusted in Christ, he would say to your old friend, receive Christ right now as your precious Savior, and he'll give you then what The oil speaks out the Spirit of God to be a power in your life so that you can live for him and seek to please Him. Well. It says here though, that while the bridegroom carried, they all slumbered and slept. They all slumbered and slept all you say, what does that mean?
Well, you know, we find.
First, in the early days, the Church's history, the coming of the Lord, was taught and joined, and it was a real, it was a real thing in the souls of His own. They were raised, their affections were upward, and they were waiting for that Blessed One to come and take them home. But we find as time went on, the truth was first lost in its reality, in the soul.
To where Saints got, to where they there wasn't that living looking for his return. And then the next thing you know, apparently even the knowledge of the truth was lost.
First set from the first several centuries, a number of centuries in the time of the rise of Rome, when Rome was under height. We speak of it sometimes as the dark faces, and one of the tools that was lost was the blessing hope of the coming of the Lord.
And so even the wise virgins, it says they all slumbered and slept. They lost the sense of this blessed truth that we're speaking about. And you can read the ministry of those writers of the 800th century or the 10th century or the 12Th century. You'll find nothing about the blessed hope that some of us are enjoying of that blessed moment when the Lord is going to cause home to be with himself.
They all slumbered and slept. But it says here in the sixth verse, at midnight there was a crime made. Behold the bridegroom come up. And what does it say?
Go ye out to meet him. Well, you know, dear young Christian friends, I believe that cry went out in the last century. God raised up service the restored to us.
Precious truths, one of them the truth of the rapture of the Lord's coming to take his own to meet him in the cloud and other troops were restored too, but I one would gather and what's referred to here in the sixth verse. Behold the bridegroom comma go out to meet him was God giving back to the church to his own the blessed.
00:20:13
Enjoyment of the fact that the Lord is coming.
To take us home. And it had a very real effect from what we read, the ministry that's been left to us, we can see the real effects it had in the hearts of many of his own in the last century. And in spirit they went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Well, now it says here that we find that the virgins arose and trim their lamps.
I wonder if there's some here that aren't characterized by those words. The word was in the verse before. Go ye out to meet him. They're old. They've been sleeping. But you know it's possible in spirit, even for those of us that know the Lord to be sleeping today.
Yes, it is. If you were to turn to the fifth chapter of Ephesians, you would find these words. All right. Solid sleepers rise from among the dead, and Christ shall sign upon me. What does that mean? A waste of all the sleepers. Oh, how many of the people, large people there are today just drifting along, going along as though the Lord wasn't coming soon, as though they were going to spend their days here. The rest of their.
Life and in some measure they settle down to the world level because it says arise from among the dead. That is, Speaking of those that are physically dead rise among the dead. It's those that are dead in trespasses and sins.
Those about us are dead that fell without Christ. They're going on in their sins, no life toward God. What a sad thing it is when one of the Lord goes.
As among the dead. And what God's word? Awake, awake. Oh, I fell asleep as their eyes were among the dead. And Christ shall shine upon me. Have you been going on with the world? We heard very solemnly this morning.
Our brothers spoke rather solemnly to us about those that can enjoy an evening. What the others say. Those are the ones referred to in the season 523. I think it is. Those are the ones of whom it said, Awake now asleep with. Arise from among the dead, and Christ shall give you life, and Christ shall shine upon him.
All that the apostle says he wanted them to be enjoying within the sense of the love of Christ. Dear young friend, the Lord died for you. He died to save your soul, but not merely to save your soul. He wanted you for his own. We were reading last Lord saying a brother read in Luke's gospel where the tools that are on the way to Emmaus.
The Lord Jesus drew near and went with them. Why did He gone near and go with them?
Because they were dear to his heart. And we thought of that person in Genesis where Joseph having been rejected of his brother and you know, and when he was exalted to the key place in Egypt under Pharaoh, his words to his brethren. They didn't know who he was, but his words then were come near on me. You're a young Christian. The Lord Jesus wants the affections of your heart. He died to women.
You and made to himself nothing can satisfy him but the response of your heart and mind who is loved.
And if you've been drifting along in this poor world, and in some measure going on with it and its pleasures, oh, I save you away.
Solid sleepers that arise from among the dead.
Well, it says here in connection with the.
It says in connection with the virgin but.
The cry went out, they awoke, and they went out to meet him.
Desire and mind in an increased measure from these meetings that we might be found as we're going out to the media, we might be characterized by having those bridal affections that would draw our hearts upward and more.
Mexican occupation with the one that loved us and gave himself for us.
Now it isn't my thoughts to make our little meeting one of prophecy today. In fact, the time is slipping by. But I would like I would like to just mention a few things that makes one feel that the moment that we're now waiting for is so near at hand. You see it says here in the in the 10th verse.
00:25:21
After there was a word of encouragement to the foolish to buy oil for the last. And by the way, if you're one of those foolish birds.
But as you say, that doesn't have Christ the Savior, that doesn't have the Spirit of God indwelling you, we can say to you, friends, according to a book of Isaiah that you can buy without money and without pride, salvation is offered to you. And if you're one of those foolish virgins that are left behind when the door is shut, it isn't because you haven't had the opportunity.
Christ is offered to you this afternoon as your Savior.
Well.
In connection with this tenth verse, it says while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready wicked.
That's the moment we're waiting for. They went in. What does that mean?
Oh, that's referring to that blessed moment of all moments when we hear that shout the Lord Himself shall the hands descend from heaven with a shout for the voice of the Archangel and the temple of God.
Rise first, then we withdraw our lives and remain to be caught up together with them.
Meet the Lord in the air. That's your friend that says they went in. Yes, it's when the Lord comes and calls us home and we feel that moment. I feel, dear friend, I say this sincerely, I feel that moment is very near hand. Oh, you say, how can you talk that way when some 18119 hundred years have gone by?
Well, dear friends, there are many things, but we have the time to look into it.
That would well that might help in commenting on this and bringing home the fact why we feel here. But the lack of time. I'll just mention very hurriedly. I was speaking this morning with a dear brother as to some of the things that make us feel our days near hand and we these are some we mentioned together first.
We're living in the Last days. We have the character of the Last Days and 2nd.
Timothy 3 In the last days difficult times shall come.
Men shall be lovers our own selves.
Proud covetous posters and disobedience to parents later on in the catalogue of things that says heavy high minded.
High minded lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God and so forth. You know, Speaking of being heavy and high minded made me think of something. We stopped at A at a cat coffee shop for breakfast the other morning.
There was a paper lying right down, right down where I sat down to eat and just couldn't help but see the headlines there. I think it said something about 179 students down in some city in Florida put in jail over a period of three days because they wouldn't be subject to the authorities there.
First of all, if they had been taught to be obedient to parents, they never would have had any thought of acting like that. And now this heady and high mindedness came out under the occasion. Well, to me it was just another little evidence of the character of the day we're living in. I mentioned it to somebody and he said Oh well, down in Bowling Green. I think it was why they they had a similar thing just a few days ago. I hadn't heard about that.
Yes, there's that spirit that characterized the last day on every side, lovers of pleasure. It was the love of pleasure that brought this arrogant and heavy high minded attitude toward the authorities down in this city in Florida. They've gone so far, the authority thought they're getting out of bounds.
Wanted to bring in a measure of control? Well, there's one point.
These were the last days, they're difficult days and the character of them is seen on every hand. Point #2.
The servants, those that live at the beginning of this century, they never expected to see a land of Israel. While while the Saints were here, I don't think most of them did, but today, for some years now.
00:30:01
We've had the Jews going back to Palestine. We have a country Israeli, and we know in this book that it speaks very definitely about Israel. I mean about Palestine being Israel's, being the land of the people, of God, of his chosen people. And and so in the terms of Matthew 24, in fact, our book is open to Matthew. We might even look at it. I think it's in the 24th of Matthew. Yes, it says.
Second verse learn a parable of fig trees on his branches yet tender and put it forth leaves. You know that summer is nice. So likewise when you see all these things know that this near even at the doors Israel, the fig tree speaks of Israel as a nation and now we see the leaves beginning to be put forth and.
But more than that, if we were to turn to the 21St of Luke Gospel, we find the third thing in Luke. In Luke play one it speaks of when we see the fig tree and all the trees.
All agrees well likely not say this.
Let those nations that have been pressing for independence in recent years is a picture speeches in other trees. The trees speak of various nations and it's common thing in the newspaper and you hear it tension frequently the tendency towards a nationalist approach. Every nation wants to be on its own throwing off all the feelings of colonialism to be on their own as a nation some years ago Egypt and then.
India and now the smaller nations in Africa, I heard somebody say, I believe that within the last two or three years, at least ten African nations, Asian Africans admitted to the United Nations or it's, it's a movement that's afoot. Well, when you see the fig tree and all the trees, there's the third thing.
Now, on other things, we find that the Roman Catholic Church is on the move.
I just read some statistics recently about the in the last decade of of the big increase in membership in the Roman Catholic Church in the United States, and I believe the increase was about seven or eight times as much as the Protestant churches. Rome is advancing and in this book of return to the 17th chapter of Revelation, we find what Rome's end is, but.
1St we find Rome coming into increasing power.
So there's, shall we say, the 4th evidence.
And then the last one, the 5th, has to do not just religious Rome, but something that will be related in a measure, we might say political Rome. Centuries ago, the Roman Empire after different forms of government came to an end. And everyone, if you'd ask somebody in the 9th century to take sanctuary, the 12Th century.
All they say, Rome, the Roman Empire, that's the thing with past. But in the 13th of Revelation we read about a beast that rises up out of the sea.
And one of his heads was long, as it were, to death. But then that head that was wanted to death becomes the life again. And all the world wonders at the power of the beast. What is that beast? Why it's imperial Rd. brought to life again. The Roman Empire brought back into existence as an empire. And that things are shaping up for that so rapidly right now. And I want to emphasize one point.
There isn't one single thing that has to be fulfilled before the Lord can come.
Thank God he may come before this meeting is over.
But there are lots of things that this book tells us happened shortly after he comes, and the things I'm speaking about are developments that have to do with the prophetic unfoldings after the church is taken home. But we can see them shaping up. Everything is getting ready for the show, friend. Are you waiting for it? Have you heard the bridegroom's call?
Have you gone out to Medium?
Speaking of the rise of the Roman Empire.
Being brought back into existence again, I had a rather thrilling thing happened just day before yesterday. The day I left for the meetings, my employer called me into his office. He said, Ralph, I want you to meet this gentleman from Chicago. He's with a management consulting firm and he's on his way to Europe. He said he goes about 5 or 6 * a year looking for possibilities for diversification for U.S. companies.
00:35:03
And this man was telling us what's happening in Europe.
Why? He said Europe is on the move.
It isn't occasion like it was a few centuries ago. It's on the move, he said. By 1970.
If Europe continues its rate of growth, by 1970, it's gross national product will equal America. United States and Canada was way behind 20 years ago after the war, and he went on to say it's on the move, it's making progress.
They went out in the State House, becoming more unified.
Why I couldn't help but reality spoke more unified.
What do we read about imperial supposedly dead, but as he talked I just could see there's Rome not sleeping at Roman Catholic Church now, but the Roman Empire in effect just about ready to be brought back as one. Some years ago I remember someone speaking on.
We was Brother Gill, speaking on the interesting development of NATO, that associations of nations in a military way.
Looking forward to protecting themselves by working together, protect themselves against Russia and the communist forces of the East. Well, it was an interesting development, but something just as interesting happened in the last three years.
We had formed not a military alignment, but an economic one. And now seven nations in Europe, the Six Nations forget which, are working together in an economic way, and they formed what's called the European Common Market, and that's what's getting the flow of goods on a freer basis and opening up markets so that they can grow and expand.
Well, when this man told me about Rose national product by 1970 up to the Hall of America.
I couldn't help but think, Oh well, just another evidence. The Lord coming is near. Because in connection with the beast you connect with Imperial Rome that we read of in Revelation 13. There's power there. Well, you can't have power out of a poor broken decay and state of things. The question is, who can make more with the beast? Well, dear friend, these things, when this man talked, he didn't know what I was thinking. I wasn't worried about the business aspect, but I was thinking of the aspect we're talking.
It just was one more evidence of the fact that the coming of the Lord draws near.
Well, our verse here said, our verse here said in the 10th verse it says while they went to buy, the bridegroom came and they were ready, went in with him to the marriage and the door was shut. Oh, I say to you my friend, if you're not saved this afternoon.
What we just read about could happen while you're sitting in your seat there and if that were to happen.
Those that were ready, those who have their sins washed away in the precious blood of Christ.
At that moment were to come. When they were taken home, you know what would happen.
Mostly seats would be empty and there would be a few seats who would have people sitting in them and friend would be too late. If you were left sitting in your seat it would be.
To fall prey to that strong delusion that we were Speaking of this morning.
It says when God shall send him a strong delusion, they should believe alive that they all might be damned who received not the love of the truth and pleasure and righteousness. And it's a serious thing to put off receiving Christ for one moment because I'm we're sincere in saying we feel the coming of the Lord is right hand in Revelation 3.
Adversity read. I like to look at it. Just just a thought or two before we close the third chapter of Revelation. In closing, I hope to comment a little on the earlier part of the.
As the Philadelphia, the time is gone, but it says here the Lord says in verse 10.
Verse 11. Behold, I come quickly. Hold that plastic thou hast that no man takes my crown. All dear young Christians, whatever the Lord is made good to your soul, hold. In fact, don't give it up. Don't be disturbed. Here in Philadelphia He says three things of them. Thou hast the little strength.
00:40:00
And has kept my word, and has not denied my name as the Lord given you. Have you asked for your place amongst those gathered to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ?
You won't find me the company that composed of great things or big accomplishments. The Lord isn't looking for that today. He says thou hast little strength. That's one thing, little strength. But he goes on and says, kept my word and not denied my name if you've asked for your place at his table.
Withholds that would honor the Lord's name alone gathered in simplicity to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Others may take a name, Others may take this name, that name, and the next name.
Creaks of those here, let us not deny his name, you'll find as identified with those garages precious names, but by his grace he has preserved the truth to them. He says I've kept my word. You wouldn't find most companies of Christians enjoying the word of God and its simplicity like we've been enjoying it the last day and 1/2 No, this truth given up and that truth given up. But here's a little something else. Kept my word. Oh dear friend, don't be disturbed.
Numbers for the lack of them. Don't be discouraged by lack of big things. Remember the largest wants us in our measure to seek to go on with that and she's given and to hold it fast. He says behold, I come quickly, Hold that fast. Why would you speak of coming quickly? I think it's an encouragement to them to press on, to hang on, to hold fast. Hold that fast that thou has, that no man takes thy crown.
Pounding is coming # Speak of award and you know we find a number of crowns spoken up in this book and.
It would be the Lord would have it your joy and privilege to be among those that in some little measure he speaks out here of no man hates thy crown. So I would encourage you to press on maybe in weakness, maybe with things to discourage. You know, it's our privilege here. The apostle Paul could say.
Uh, he said first speaking for himself and then we have his words to Timothy. He says, I applaud a good fight. I have kept the faith. I have finished my course first. I have stepped to face 10 courses laid up for me a crown of righteousness. There's the crown again with the Lord, the righteous judge to give me in that day not to be all evil to all. Also all those of love is appearing while in writing to Timothy, a younger man, He encourages him now in a similar.
He says in writing to Timothy, he says fight the good fight of faith.
Lay hold on that which is really like hear the alarms says, Hold that pass which thou hast to Timothy. He says, fight a good fight of faith. Yes, in Jude we read of earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the same. We're Speaking of faith yesterday, and the Lord says to earnestly contend for that faith once delivered to the Saints.
Forgive it up, hold that fast with thou hast but no man take thy crown well as vice to Timothy was like the good fight of faith and lay hold on that which is really light. Well, dear friend, our time is up. May the Lord encourage you and me. May the Lord encourage you. I'd like to make this one comment. The apostle Paul could say I applaud a good fight. The one that's standing here speaking to you this afternoon isn't using those words.
As anything that one can look back on in his own life. And I'll tell you this.
I trust by the grace of God, it's my desire for a little while. It's left here to be found in some little measure fighting a good fight of faith. Is that your desire? May God grant that it may be so. May you realize the privilege in view of the fact that the car has gone forth, the pride June comma, go ye forth to meet Him. Let you realize that it's a privilege to be found here.
Waiting and watching for him.
And seeking in some little measure to be here it is His praise while you hear it. Wait for that shout that's going to call us all home.
Waters to Swim In: Address
What Must I Do? We Are Absolutely Helpless to Do Anything for God
Gospel—G.H. Hayhoe
DISCLAIMER: The following has been auto-transcribed. We hope it will help you to find the section of this audio file you are looking for.
Now we turn to the box full of loops, the 10th chapter of The God Full of Loops.
And the 25th verse. And behold, a certain lawyers stood up and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? Only the style. And the answering said, Thou felt, Love the Lord thy God with all, thy heart, with all thy soul with all thy spring, and with all.
I'm thy neighbor as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right this do, and thou shalt live. But he willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor? And he was answering, said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho.
And fell among the seas which stripped him of his raiment and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
And by chance there came down a certain priest that way, and when he saw him pass by on the other side, and likewise the Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan anti dirty came where he was, and when he saw him he had compassion.
Yeah, and went through him, and bound up his wound, Oregon oil and wine, and set him on a golden beast, and brought him to an end, and took care of him. And on the Morrow when he marched, he took about two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto the hymn.
Take care of him, and whatsoever thou spends more, when I come again I will repay thee.
When which now these three think of Thou was neighbor unto him that fell among the sea. And he said, He had showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. Now it seemed to pass as they went. And he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
And he had a sister called Aunt Mary, which also sat at Jesus feet and heard his word. But Martha was confident about much burning.
And came to him and said, Lord, just come up here, that my sister hath left me to serve alone. Sit her therefore that she helped me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, large, careful, and trouble about many things.
But one thing is needful, and Mary have chosen that good part which shall not be taken away from her.
In this little incident that we have before us tonight, friends, what a beautiful illustration we have the wondrous grace of God and meaningless sinners need. It's natural to the heart of man, the thing that you can do something for himself.
He doesn't like to acknowledge his helplessness. He always likes the feeling he can do something to obtain blessing from God. And it's one of the hardest things for us to learn that we're absolutely helpless to do anything for God and not only God, but our very heart.
Of enmity against God. And so the gospel must have brought to us to show us first of all, our home absolute helplessness, to show how God thought in that great knee and to show how he provided a failure to meet us in our knees. And it may be that the response was coming this room tonight.
And you'll feel this is this young lawyer did he wanted to do something to inherit eternal life?
And I knew what I asked, Are you ready to meet God? Are you saying perhaps you would start Speaking of the thing that you have done? Perhaps you would start and tell us about all of good deeds in your life and how you would always try to do what was right and how you would attend church, how you have given money to good causes. You want to speak in your own work and feel like that would help you to gain entrance to.
00:05:09
All your friends, the Word of God distinctly shows us that before God we are all sinners. And God has declared His word that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. That takes in you, and it takes in me. It takes in every boy and girl and man and woman. We have all sins.
But not only that, it says come forth.
Glory of God. Most people are willing to acknowledge their sinners, but they feel that somehow God is going to take them into heaven in spite of all those things, and they don't know how they can be made fit for God's presence. They feel it's must be through some works of their own. Well, that was a thought in the mind of this man.
But another version follows us thinking of the heavenly sitting in the 21St chapter of Revelation, it says.
There shall no wise enter into it anything that be filed, neither whatsoever work with abomination, or maketh a lie, or say that our listings in the Lamb Book of life all. Then we go back to the very beginning of man's history on the earth, and we see that it was only one spin, but in that garden, and that one sin was enough.
To bring in sorrow and misery of which this world is full.
A person here tonight who hasn't felt something of the sorrows and miseries and troubles connected with this earth and your friends, all because of our that little word of three letters.
SIN. Sin has brought it all into this world, and God is not going to allow even one sin to enter heaven, not even one friend. God cannot have sinned.
Holy Presence, God hates sin, and God is not going to allow heaven to be spoiled by even one sin. And you and I know that we have committed far more than one sin. I'm sure that we're willing to acknowledge that during the day.
At least have one wrong thought, one wrong action, one wrong thought toward God and how quickly they count up all friends, have you stopped to think unlawful record of sin God has at your on your account up there in heaven and the someday you must meet God about that record of sin, unless in this day of grace you meet Him as a Savior God.
Healed in Christ unless you I brought the sea that wasn't saying your die for your sins and shed his precious blood you put them away.
Well, and this young lawyer came to the Lord Jesus. He said that, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And it's a very solemn thing that the Lord took him up on his own ground.
I entertained as one whose body could do something to inherit eternal life. So the Lord answers according to His own ground. He said, What is written in the law, I'll lead us down. He brought before him. But the law said, indeed, more than not, the man himself. Through the law the man himself was able to answer and quote the two first and great commandments upon which.
He knew that the first commandment was the Lord. Love the Lord with all his heart and soul and mind on the secondary love his neighbor is himself. And in the strange how people can know the Bible ever so well and not apply it to themselves. How many there are who know the Bible is deeply says that we have all sinned.
And know the Bible to speak and says that after death and judgment, and call a thing below some great Sinner.
And as soon as must apply this one great Sinner, but it takes a long while to turn around and point the finger to self and say.
I have.
Sinned. I have sinned for a long time, but the prodigal before he came to the point when he rested friends and money and everything else in this world.
00:10:04
He came to the point where he went back to his forefathers and he said, Father, I am thinned against heaven.
But a long time it took the gold to come to the point where he said I can't abhor myself in dust and ashes. The very fact that he had lived such a blameless life made it very hard for him to say that about himself.
And it may be that you two are boasting in your good character, in your uprightness, and it makes it very hard for you to say the truth about yourself. Friends, what I say tonight, have your eternal blessing depend upon the fact that you must take your place as guilty before God. As long as you justify yourself, God must condemn you.
But when you're willing to condemn yourself.
God will show himself as a forgiving, justifying God. All your friends are you are you finding experience with other people How often when you ask the person to a gospel means he says, well, I know if I command and he's a hypocrite and perhaps he'll say.
Well, I don't know why God allowed this trouble to come in my life. I only had one child.
And he took my child away. I don't know why God let that happen. He blames God, He blames this fellow man, but he never points his finger and says, I have been all dear friend. I want to tell you that if you're in that state tonight that you're blaming everyone else but yourself. There's no salvation for you until you come to the point where you're willing to just.
God and condemn yourself. Of the two men that went up into the tent of the prey, one man talked about all the good things he did. He looked at the man beside him and he said, I spank me and I am not of other men are extortioners.
God for even of this publican I fast twice a week, I get tired of all the night with that what a fine man he was in his own sight, but the Netherlands by him. He bowed his head, he didn't even listen his eyes to heaven. He's small and his breasts and he said God be merciful to be a Sinner and the Lord Jesus says.
That man went down to his house. Justified. Justified.
But this man, he was willing to justify himself. And if you're in that place tonight, I plead with you, my dear friend, before I go any farther, and you're the best living person in the whole city of Toronto, and you've lived a blameless life before your fellow man. Remember at the old Christian art of God looks in and he sees what's in your heart.
I've often said if I had two rotten eggs sitting here on the table.
And I dropped one of the eggs on the floor, and the other one still fits there on the table. You get a nasty smell from the bad one that broke on the floor, but it's not one that's better than the one that's sitting there on the table. You can lift it up and smell it, and you can't smell one bad thing about it.
But the bad boy inside, just the same. And anyone who knows anything about eggs, what be able to tell you that no matter how nice the egg looks, it was rotten. It was rotten and dear friend, if you can brought up in a Christian home and if you've had a Christian father and mother or if you've been brought under a Christian influence.
It may be the bad of your heart has not come out. I thank God for a Christian home.
Thank God for the Christian father and mother who kept me from doing things but my wretched heart would have done. But it's not because my heart can be better. And your friend, are you going to acknowledge that what God says about your heart is true? Supposing.
You'll look at that age and you said I can't see inside it so I don't believe it's bad. Why I might have to bring it on the floor and I just see it and let you have the awful smell of Thomas stomach and your friend if you want. Believe me, what God prays about your heart tonight, you're going to believe it someday when you stand before the great light from when you meet a place holy God and your record of sin.
00:15:15
Comes up before him. Remember God, who will stand your heart and who sees the wretchedness is there and it's in my heart still will have to bring that out. And there will be no pardon, no salvation there. But tonight there's blessing for you. There's salvation for you. It's not yet too late.
The Bible says both. Not myself tomorrow.
For thou know smart for a day may bring forth. We don't know what's going to come before tomorrow. Dear friends, I'll say again, are you willing to accept God testimony about yourself? If you don't do it now, you're going to do it someday when it's too late.
Going to face this plastic book someday for the Lord Jesus said the words that I have spoken the same self judgment in the last day. You're not going to meet the Cree of any church. You're not going to meet the ideas of any fellow man or any creature of the gospel or preacher anyone else.
You're going to have to speak this blessed book, friend and all. May God's friend, that you'll receive a message and acknowledge it first tonight that you might as well ask. This man was willing to justify himself, but the Lord still loved this dear man. The Lord still looked upon him in compassion. And tonight it may be that you have been justifying yourself.
But let me tell you that God is still looking to find you in compassion and love.
In His matchless grace He longed to save you. He wants to bless you. His heart is full of compassion for you. He's the one who's able to cleanse that file wretched sin adores and make you whiter and snow in His blessed presence. And for us, it's lovely to hear the Lord.
Telling you this little story here that's all beautifully illustrates the gospel of His grace.
Here was a man, he went down from Jerusalem.
Who dare to call what in all? Jerusalem was the place where the Lord had chosen to put His name. Jerusalem was a place where they had the temple. Jerusalem was the place where they had the law of God. Jerusalem was a place where they had so many privileges. And this man lived in Jerusalem, but it may be that he got tired of the restraint.
It may be that he was like many a young person.
Like many a boy and girl brought up in a Christian home, your feelings just like to turn your back and get away from that constant restraint. You'd like to get away from father and mother saying don't do this, don't do that, don't do another thing. I'm going to turn your back and all the premises that you have and you start down from Jerry Cold. I want to start saying his word about Jerry Cole.
I'll tell her that God pronounced the curse.
One black city, he said first is the man that refills Jerry Cole or Jerry Cole was destroyed and the children of Israel crossed the Jordan amendment, the promised land, the walls fell down flat, and God pronounced the curse upon the person that we built.
And your friend left city of Jericho, which was really a beautiful city as a picture of this world. It crucified the Son of God and judgment hangover of. What are men and women doing today? They're spending all our energy trying to make this world a pleasant place. They're fixing it up. They're crashing it up.
They're making it. This is nicer places they possibly can.
They fried and make everything so pleasant and comfortable that shall never have a pair. That you won't have to worry and that you'll have security. When you get old, you won't have to think about your old age because you'll have a tension. And then when you get sick, but you'll get free hospitalization. And then when you come here, the point of death, but you'll never feel yourself dying. But they'll put you under some dope. Well, if you won't even know.
00:20:04
Friends, but this world which lives at station house and station holes in his arms, and he rocks this world asleep with all its pleasures and with all their things. And you, dear young person, brought up in a Christian home, are you turning your back upon your privileges you've had? Are you turning your back upon all the opportunities of being saved and heading down?
To that place judgment or very coy place was the city of the curse and saw this world in which he lived. Hair and beautiful as it may seem, is under the judgment of God and we've been talking a little bit in these three days means are the awful judgment that is coming upon this world. All I want to tell you.
That there is such a terrible judgment coming upon this world.
That God says there shall be a kind of trouble that there never was, since there was a nation even under that same time. Think of all the horrors of the last two great wars. Think of the horrors of what man fears through the atomic bomb.
Dear friends, a time of trouble that's coming upon this world is something that has never taken place in all the most bloody and awful wars this world has known. And Christ himself is going to come out of heaven the White Horse, and judge this world in righteousness.
That day has been flat, but God has been chosen and that a day of judgment is fast. Hasten on our Braddell and sitting here are warned of how that judgment is getting near. Dear friends, and can't believe that there are young people and all the ones here who have turned his back over and over again their privileges.
And you're on your way down to that awful place of eternal judgment.
Because I want telling your friends that if you die in your sins or if you're here when the Lord Jesus comes out of heaven, my boy horse, while you're going down to a lot turning, you're going down to hell. It may be it's not fashionable today to talk about hell. One time when I was going under this very city, I satisfied a lady in the train.
Asked folks what about her soul?
And then I warned her about hell and judgment. She said, you don't believe in hell, do you? I thought people had given that up long ago. Well, I said, here's one person that believes God, your friends, God's word is true and whatever you may think.
Whatever you may say, whatever the most educated ministers or anyone else may tell you God plans is a hell and he said it's a place of everlasting torment. Don't let anyone to see you and they're thinking that it doesn't mean what it says. And it's a Greek word means something else has just as much proof for houses, for heaven. And the Lord Jesus himself was the one who warned.
That's coming, I guess your friend. He warned that this man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho. He was headed to that city of the Kurds. He was headed for judgment. As our brother said the other night, he was hell bound. He was on his way there. But God had desire from that man. God had desired from that man.
I suppose when the seas always took him, perhaps he might say, well, that's just my bad luck.
He might say, well, why do things like that happen to me? What have I done? Deserve all that trouble. That's the way the world talks, you know, when trouble comes into their life, they say, oh, well, it's just my bad luck. I'm not lucky. You know, some people are. Dear friend, let me tell you, it's not so when trouble comes in your life, it stops thinking. It says God speakers once.
Ye twice yet man for seed of it not, and it was not chance that this man fell among thieves. And it's no attempt if trouble has come in your life.
With some great thou has come, if you can lay this body and sit bad, if you've lost your money, whatever it may be that has come into your life, Let me tell you the hand that God is innocent. God speaketh one day twice. Yes man perceive of it lock well, here he was.
00:25:10
They robbed him of his money, they robbed him and his raiment, and here he was laying down *** ****.
The world doesn't care about your friends. The world is your friend as long as you've got lots of money, as long as you've got health. But when the world freeze, if you've got nothing to contribute to them, they'll soon leave you alone. They'll soon fix. They don't care. This heartless world which you live on. We want you. Or what it can get from you.
A God wants you for what he can give to you. Yes, if thou knewest, that's really giving them God.
And who it is that step under the Give me a drink the Lord Jesus planted? Thou would have asked of him, and he would have given the living water.
Well, he was this man lying in the ditch. It says he was half there. I like to think of it in this way that he was either he was lying in the kids. She couldn't do one thing for himself and your friend. That's what God says about you, your spiritual exam and physically alive.
I said spiritually dead and physically alive, it will be a terrible thing when you're sensually dead and spiritually and when you're spiritually dead and physically dead too, because it'll be too late. Then there's no more opportunity of the gospel. But a young say tonight you only have said and it's not too late, not too late because.
Because of all your spiritually sad that is. Ephesians 2 Says that is trespassing sin.
There is one who sees your condition, there's one who came to save you, there's one who loves you, there's one who cares. But man never thinks of Christ first. He always thinks of some way for himself. He said I can help myself, I can do something. So the first time came along and saw this man, who was it? It was a it was.
Yeah, that's great. Same along. And he saw this poor man lying the ditch. What would the priest do for him? Oh, what's in the Law do for a man of that spiritually dead? The law can tell him what he ought to do, but the law can't do anything for him when he is unable to keep it. The Lord has said this too, and thou shalt live. But the man couldn't do anything.
He was half dead, lying in the ditch. The man was hopeless and your friend, and that's all that the law does. It just shows that we're helpless, says in Romans chapter 3.
By the Jesus of the law, there shall be all flesh be justified in his sight. And so the priest came along, and he looked at the man, and he passed by another side. So I can't do anything for this man. I can't do anything.
I know how many preachers there are right here in the city of Toronto, and they're telling people that if they live a good life, they do the best they can, that everything will come out right in the end. By proposing a man hasn't done the best he could. Supposing a man with your life of sin.
And his long death door. What can they tell a man like that? Nothing, friend. They have to pass by and let us talk. They have to leave him.
This present to him what we might call modernism has no message for a man that knows who the Sinner. All they have is something for people that feel they can do and haven't learned their own helplessness.
But the Gospel declares us helpless, lost, dead, impressed Father, and sin following these priests passed by on the other side. Why did they came down by chance? Well, I'll tell you, I believe why it was because.
It wasn't in God's purpose to give the law. God gave the law because man asked for it. Man thought he could do something until God gave the law to man.
The truth is helpless night that says the law enters, that the offender might abound. Was it ever God's purpose, a blessed man under the law? Oh no, dear friends, God knew that no one could get blessing on that ground. It was part of His ways, but when it was not part of His purposes.
00:30:12
His breakfast, just like this man. It says by chance, when you have a purpose, you know the way you're going to go. But this man was this that we might say he was just out scrolling. He didn't, he didn't particularly come that way to see the man. And so the law was given because man thought he could keep it.
But the law couldn't do anything to the poor helpless man lying to this holy Levi came along.
Well, if we like to always want connected with the ceremonies of the law, there was the law, the 10 commandments, God's holy requirements of land, and then it was also the ceremonial law with all those ceremonies and with all the washing pot and the washing the pan and man putting down his head like a bulldog. As a scripture fan, I'm going into God's house and and singing there with all that.
Climbs away to sin. All know, dear friend and practice thing in the choir. Perhaps you're a so-called church members. Perhaps you put down your head like a bulldog as you go on with the open forms and ceremonies of religion.
But your friend will only leave you in the ditch. That will never put away your sins, That will never put away one sin. Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Nothing but the blood of Jesus can put away sin. So the Levi came along and he did the same thing. He passed by on the other side. But all of this lovely.
As certain Samaritan as Journey. It doesn't say here by chance.
All this Americans and why is he called the Samaritans? Why was he called a good Jew? Why was he, why does he say something complimentary about this man as to his position in this world?
Because it tells us in the 4th chapter of John that Jews had no dealings with the Americans, the Jews spies this imagined, and your friends. Perhaps because you thought you could do something for salvation.
Music by God's the offer of grace you've never had a personal dealing with visa are you one like it says there the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans and I suppose before this very man would have said oh I wouldn't have anything to do with this American but he did that day and your friends may be that you never wanted before to have anything to do with.
But all I tell you, listen, Mike, as you look down upon you in love, once you have to do with him a queen, now thyself with him, and be a thief. Think of this man looking up, and there was a man looking down upon him. Who was it? I despise man. That is in the 53rd of Isaiah.
He is despised and rejected of sin, a man of sorrows, and acquainted His grace, and we hid, as it were, our faces from Him.
He was despised, and we have seen him that, but he was wounded for hours on Russian. He was bruised for our iniquity. The chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his right we are healed. What does this despise man do?
Art says he saw him. He had compassion on him.
He went through him all. Dear Sinner, God saw you with all your needs. Christ please your tonight in all your needs. He sees you a loss, the only help of sinners, and He has compassion upon you. He loves that precious soul of yours that you never place any value upon it, but He loves that precious soul of yours.
That blessed One who came down.
From the Father sending laws to say your precious souls, he he came down and it says he went to him all your friends. I must speak of this, the Lord Jesus to save your soul and mind must go to that cross.
00:35:07
And it says that God made him to be sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. God does not pass over sin as though we're nothing. If God is going to forgive sin, then must be punished. The curse of the broken law must fall upon someone.
And who could it fall upon?
In the Lord Jesus was the one, it says.
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.
Been made-up first for us all. Think of it to your friend and my precious Savior for the judgment for me. And I've often said judgment is in your head of you or behind you. If you can look back to calories cross and see that precious thing you die in your place. You can say that. And Judson Arvin behind me, grace and glory.
But if you will not accept that precious Savior, if you despise this one and will on hand dealing with this despised failure. Remember judgment ahead of you. That man with God is sister, but he hadn't been willing to accept the kindness of this Good Samaritan and all my friend, how blessed the things of the Savior as common and tender loud.
The list, love, is the Samaritan state of this man. Well, now, come on up out of this city. That's an awful place for a man to be. But I thought of the death. Oh, he didn't tell him that. He went to him. He fought in the oil and wine. He all lifted him up and he placed him on his arms. And all your friends the work of salvation.
Is the work of Christ from dark to finish you and I can't do one thing.
What a lesson for this man who thought he could seek God's holy law. He explained as we can do anything but right, has done it all, this man has nothing to do but it. That's the kindness of this despised stranger. And your friend is nothing for you to do tonight but to take your place as guilty helpless.
Lying in addictions of words. Half dead, century dead, though physically alive.
And look up and see that precious saying, you're looking down upon you in love, and let him throw those arms with love about you tonight and lift you up. Or you say, how can I do it? How can I do it? Oh, how simple. The blessed message of the gospel. God so loved the world, and he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever.
Believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. What's your name? In God's grace, whoever accept that precious faith, you're your own delight.
Says John 1:00 and 12:00. As many as received him to them being power and become the sons of God, even to them to leave on his name. Or you say, how can I receive him? Or just believe that he did it for you. Perhaps someone says all my face is so weak. Your friend is not a question of the amount of your faith.
The question is in whom have replaced that faith? Is your faith in the right person? It's the person that comes.
I had a check here for $100 and I have this thrown in the space that the tech is good. I take it down to the bank and I present it to the teller and I asked him to give me the $100 and he shakes his head and he says I'm sorry. Fantastic. The man doesn't have the fun.
Your friends didn't matter how much space I had did it. The question was whether the man was good for it. The question is whether it was good for us and your friend, if you will. Look away from yourself, look away from your feelings, look away from your weak face, look away from everything connected with yourself and just look up like that American did like that man that this did into the face of that failure, who would despise and look up and say.
Lord, I accept why we gifted starvation, dear friends.
Will be about to. He's a precious savior. He's able to say. He's willing to say. He's mighty to say He'll do it for you tonight as he's done it for hundreds of others. Thousands have led to his fear. There's a side welcome. They all have been. None are denied. We're late and they all have been blessed.
00:40:21
Joyfully down the tree and they left. Oh don't let the devil's complicated to your friends. So many people get occupied with how much space they have and all those kind of claims electric tattoos tonight when you come to the end of yourself and look up and just take that precious thing in my face.
You'll find me. You'll do everything for you, just like this American did for the man in the ditch. He'll give you all to me. I might have another check, and my faith about it is very weak, but at least I have enough space to take it to the bank. And trembling and wondering whether it's any good, I'd toss it into the cellar. And I asked him, Can it be that this one's all right? And what a smile on his face. He handed me out to Philadelphia.
How's that? Well, question whether a man was worthy, whether a man had the fund. And your friends, you may be trembling, your face may be weak, but be like the dear boy. He was caught in a storm. The ship was wrecked. He was left stranded on the rock. And in the morning, when the Coast Guard looked out to sea, if there were any survivors of the wreck, they could see this.
Glasses and there he was on that rock. Anyone else? They rushed to the end. They brought him in and they said, weren't you afraid on that rock there through that stormy night? Oh, he said, I often scrambled on the rock when he said the rock never trampled under me and all your friends. That's the precious savior that wants to save you tonight. I say the Samaritan did everything that was.
For this man, we catch him up. He's poured in the oil and the wine. He placed him on his own beast. That is the very same power that was carrying the Samaritan along was now the power that was carrying this wounded man along. And all of that lovely, all your friends filled our hearts to speak of the discover.
Perhaps someone said I could never live the Christian life. I'd like to be saved, but I can never run it.
Your friend may say this man at the same power under him that was under the Samaritan. And I want to tell you that when you take Christ as your Savior, he himself becomes your life. God gives a new life. And every one of us in this room tonight who are saying, and remember when the very same question came in our minds, we said, how can we ever live a Christian life?
But when we receive him, we not only does the forgiveness of our sins.
But we got a new life and praise and blessed name. We know that it's the same one that says that keeping us and he's going to carry everyone who's regime one all the way home, all the way home. The shepherd carried the sheep all the way home. And this precious Savior will bring you, my friend, all the way home.
He's all the way home, Savior and this man.
Now he was, he was carried along by this tower. And where was he brought? By himself. He was brought to the end. What was the end for? Well, the Samaritan was going away for a little while, and during his absence he provided for the care of this man. He didn't say, well, now I've done all this for you.
You better find a place where you'll be taken care of.
As always said, no, he didn't play that city. This same man that picked him up, brought him right to the end and gave a charge to the empty 1St to take care of him. Take care of him. And all I want to say, I know there's quite a few Christians here tonight. I know that is popular in the world to say.
After you're saved on the oath of goodness Evangelical Church and go there. But I'm not going to say that tonight. I'm going to say that what this says here.
That the same person that saved this man from *** **** was a man that took him to the place he was prepared for when he came back. And if you know that precious Savior has saved your soul, don't scratch yourself to try and find the right place. If God is precious word and if God is Holy Spirit and dwelling you and if you look up to him.
00:45:25
Why he'll guide you.
Word through his Holy Spirit and there's a place where he you would have to be. There's a place where he would have to be. And this place was a place where the man was cared for. And I could say to those who know the Lord, he wants to care for you. And I thank God that and the goodness of God, He not only saved my soul, but he brought me.
To the place where I could be gathered.
Under the sound of His word and my knees be cared for until my precious failure comes back again. And let me just say another little word here about the money that was given to this in keeper to take care of him.
Well, it's a different application for us, but we know here that this American took out and paid the energy for for taking care of this man until he came back.
And we've been talking a little bit in the meetings about the judgment seat of Christ and how everything that we have done is someday going to be manifested and rewarded. And, you know, I'd just like to pass on this little word that if you do anything for one of God's children, you will be repaid. Yet you will be repaid. And when the innkeeper was given the charge of this man.
He might cost a little extra.
This man might have been a little more broader than the ordinary person who stayed in the end. He's been a sick man. He's been a wolfed man, and innkeeper couldn't just assign him to his room and say, well, that man long stitches, meals, and I just barely sleep on. That's all he needs. This man isn't either less repair. And so the Samaritan said that if you have to spend any more on this man.
Always pay you for it.
And I just like to say this word to Christians, the believers here tonight. Sometimes we don't like to spend that little extra care. Maybe there's some young Christians and perhaps he's perilous in his walk. Perhaps he's a brothers. Perhaps he's always doing things that cause tears and sorrows. And we might say, well, he's too much trouble. Oh, what a lovely word this is.
If you do anything for one of the Lord's people, he'll repay you.
I'm going to tell you, well, this man was promised that when he went into the Samaritan came back, any extra trouble he went to or any extra expense would be fully repaid. All your friends are too rich. To everything you're better. He gives salvation as a free gift.
And then whatever you do for that precious Savior, he'll repay you so wonderfully that you and I will wonder how we ever could have done his love. All the blessed days there. I commend this precious Savior tonight. I commend them to your.
Which is done phase one. He's looking down upon you in love. He sees you in all your deep needs. He loves your precious souls. He doesn't want to pass you by. He saw him, he had compassion, he went to him. Can you see that precious failure standing by you tonight, my friend? When you open your eyes and look up and see him looking upon him loud?
Male Prince in his blessed hands. And what do you just say? All out of God I come. Oh, she'll just do that tonight. His love and grace will touch and win your heart. He'll give you the power to me. He'll lead you to the place where he would have you. And whatever you do for him will be amply rewarded.
Oh, how lovely this story. What an answer to the man's question. And who is my neighbor?
He said, who is my neighbor? I'm your friend. Who is the one who alone could magnify the law, make it honorable? Who's the one who lonely everything in his father's will and thought the blessing of man. And it's none other than the despise stranger despite failure. He wants to be your favorite. He wants to be your savior.

Just a little spot before we close here and the reason I read this little incident about the Lord going into this home.
And there were two people. There was Martha and Mary that we read about in this home.
I don't know quite a few people when they get saved their first thought is what can I do to serve the Lord? What can I do to serve the Lord? And I get so occupied with service after they get saved that they don't have 5 instead of Jesus speak, they don't have a time and even to sit down at Jesus feet and hear his words.
All friends, I believe at the common air of Christmas, I see it everywhere. And as soon as people get saved, they're immediately put to work and they're given so much to do that they don't have hardness, time enough, or spending in prayer and reading of God's precious words. And some of them say for quite a long time, some of them even think the Bible college and they've never learned the lesson that the Lord was teaching here.
They've never learned the syllabus of speech. They've never learned that black place. And let me say this to every young believer here tonight.
The Lord valued service, the God of love, but the most important place first of all is to sit at Jesus feet. It says in John 12 if any man serve me, let him follow me and where I am.
There shall also my servancy, and we can get too occupied with what we're doing, while I tell you, when we learn our place that Jesus speaks.
Hear his words then service becomes a bloodsome happy thing. It doesn't become something that burdens us. It becomes the outflow of a heart that is filled with his love and grace and so that's the way it was with Mary. She found this place at Jesus peace. Well, I believe I can say to the Bible learn the left because the next time we read about.
Chapter of John we find this Marsha was serving the den, but she was no longer cumber with her service. She was occupied with a blessed person who was there at the table. And so I say service had its place, but let's not get so occupied with an immune young believer. I would say attend the meeting.
And don't put your other things first. Come to the Lord Jesus first and second of your Savior.
And then the great, the LED of him and everything in your life attend the Bible, read, attend in the prayer of me. You know you'll never never regret the time the suspended the Bible reads the times of suspended the prayer meeting. But the male of the regret is the young believer. If you spend so much time getting along in this world.
That you neglect the place at the university and neglect that precious privilege. Privilege.
And so I would say in clothing every young believer, remember the lesson in the end of the chapter, remember why God has put it in his word in this way. A most important lesson for us all, a place at Jesus feet, giving him his rightful place, hearing his word. And again to anyone who doesn't say, May God give you to look up in space for that precious danger.
And don't look in for your feelings, don't look in for any worthiness, but just look up tonight and see that precious stranger who finished the work at Calgary and without stretched arms of love, is waiting to give through that embrace tonight. The Father's heart, the Father's love displayed in Christ, and to give you all that you need.
All the way home. Receive him tonight.
As you're saying there.
