Here’s another man who recognized his own nothingness before Jesus. John the Baptist was the Lord’s second cousin. Surely they could have been considered to be at the same level? No! John states emphatically that he was not even worthy to undo the Lord’s sandal. Never forget, young Christian, who Jesus is. He is God. We must show respect.
