(second). Name of Samuel’s oldest son (1 Chron. 6:28²⁸And the sons of Samuel; the firstborn Vashni, and Abiah. (1 Chronicles 6:28)). In 1 Samuel 8:2²Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beer-sheba. (1 Samuel 8:2), Joel appears as his firstborn son.
