Wages or Gift

It was the end of the week and some workmen were returning by train from an out-of-town job. They were due to receive their wages at their employer's office.
An elderly man asked them: "Did you ever hear of a day when the worker will not want his wages?”
They looked at each other in surprise, evidently thinking how ridiculous such a question was. Whoever heard of a workman refusing his wages? That was certainly not their experience, for payday was to them a very important day.
"Listen, then," said the old man, breaking the silence; "God speaks of such a day." Opening a well-worn Bible which he had drawn from his pocket, he read the familiar words: "The wages of sin is DEATH." Rom. 6:2323For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23).
Reader, are you prepared to receive such wages? Would it not be better to have the gift?
"The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
God is ready to present you with this gift, even now.
He refuses none who come in repentance toward Himself and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. If you will not accept the gift, you must receive the wages. "Behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." 2 Cor. 6:22(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) (2 Corinthians 6:2).
