"Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. And He sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. And they said unto Him, WHERE WILT THOU THAT WE PREPARE?" (Luke 22:7-9). Read Luke 22:7-20.
"There shall be a place WHICH THE Lord YOUR GOD SHALL CHOOSE to cause His Name to dwell there" (Deuteronomy 12:11).
"Take heed to thyself that Thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place thou seest: BUT IN THE PLACE WHICH THE Lord SHALL CHOOSE" (Deuteronomy 12:13-14).
God has given so minutely clear instructions for the path,
Where the Lord of Glory deigns to meet His own;
If we earnestly beseech Him, and will follow where He leads,
We will find the place, so clearly He makes known.
And to all who ask "Where wilt Thou that we prepare" the feast?
He will guide them by His Spirit and His Word,
For it is the Lord of glory, who would gather round Himself,
Every soul who truly owneth Him as Lord.
And the place of His appointment, is of His desire and mind,
'Tis a place that He the Lord our God shall choose,
And He earnestly desireth, there to meet with all His own,
That the blessing that it brings they might not lose.
To be gathered with Himself alone, in His appointed place,
Where the Holy Spirit leads the song of praise,
Brings a blessing as we worship, and remember Him in death,
As our grateful songs of thanks to Him we raise.
Yes, there is a place of blessing, where Christ is in the midst,
It is far off from the systems formed by man:
It is with our blessed Savior, just gathered to His Name,
Where the Spirit leads, according to God's plan.
Oh! beloved, let me ask you, will you not on bended knee,
Ask the Lord "Where wilt Thou" we remember Thee?
For 'tis only He can show you, where Christ is in the midst,
Only if we follow Him, His place we'll see.
In this day of much confusion, when puzzled and perplexed,
If we look to Christ, who's evermore the same,
Our Great All Gracious Shepherd, would gather every lamb,
He would gather them in His most blessed Name.
