And [Rahab] sent them away . . . and she bound the scarlet line in the window.
In this simple act of faith by Rahab we can learn two lessons. First, by binding the scarlet line in the window, she shows to the Lord and the messengers from Israel that she believed their word and accepted by faith that what they said was true. Second, she shows to the world that she is a believer. She is covered by the blood. Are you? Do others know? May we each show by the way we live and the things we say that we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ.
