What else could we expect to come from the Lord’s mouth but words of grace and kindness, love and compassion? The Lord has set an example for us in every way. One is that husbands are to love their wives just as the Lord loved the Church and gave Himself for it. Another example is that He never fought back when He was taken and falsely accused. And in our verse today is a third example for us to follow. When we speak, do people notice that we speak with grace and love? This is a real challenge. Let’s be more like the Lord in everything we do.
