Work For Jesus

WHEN Jesus sent His disciples forth, He told them to go into every city and place, whither He would come. And, O! is not this a sweet encouragement for us to work, when we know that Jesus is coming again—coming to reward those of His servants, who have been faithful over a few things.

You are not too young to work, young friends; if you cannot speak to others of Jesus and His love, you can pray, and if you pray in faith, God will answer you as He has promised.

"Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you." John 16:23²³And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. (John 16:23).

Of course, one who does not know Him as Saviour cannot work for Him. The first step is to accept God's wonderful Gift, the Lord Jesus who died for our sins. Then we are saved,—made a child of God, and ready to work for Him, as we are directed by Him.

"This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works."
