Short Meditations — Part 2
In a world of constant noise it is necessary to have a quiet time with the Lord at least once a day. “The words of wise men are heard in quiet” (Ecclesiastes 9:17).
Where God guides, He also provides. “Can He provide … for His people” (Psalm 78:20).
It is the God-governed life and not the self-governed life which counts for most, and which is the best and the most worthwhile. “That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God” (1 Peter 4:2).
When we can’t do anything, God can do everything! “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).
We can chose to be problem-conscious or power-conscious. Which are you? “Your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God” (1 Corinthians 2:5).
