Blameless

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He that calleth you,
who also will do it”
(1 Thessalonians 5:23).

Every part of us, from the inner depths of our being to the outside shell, needs to be preserved. It is so easy to get occupied with the world and its wickedness, especially when you are in school or at work. The peer pressure from other young people is very strong. All the moral standards that our fathers and grandfathers tried to stand for in the fear of God are being given up.

However, we do have One who is faithful, and One who is able to preserve us in the three parts of our being, spirit, soul, and body. “God is faithful” (1 Corinthians 1:9).

Like Paul for the Thessalonians, we do well to pray this prayer for each other every day: “I pray God that your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved BLAMELESS unto the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
