With God — Part 2

“And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach” (Mark 3:14).

The first and foremost reason why the Lord chose twelve disciples was so that He would have them “with Him.” He desired their company and fellowship. Later, He did send them out to preach and to work all kinds of miracles, but not until they had spent time “with Him.”

If we want to be effective in our Christian service we must learn, like Enoch, Noah, and the disciples, to walk with Him.

In a future day, we are going to walk with Him when we arrive in heaven—the Father’s house. He promises, “And they shall walk with Me in white: for they are worthy” (Revelation 3:4).But it is our immense privilege to experience that here and now in this life.

Walk with the Lord, stay close by His side,

Feel His presence, trust Him as guide;

Then from faith’s pathway you never will swerve,

This will equip you, to please and to serve.
