The Blind Man
“Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I might believe on Him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen Him, and it is He that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him” (John 9:35).
If you read the account in this chapter, starting at the 13th verse, you will see that Jesus had just healed a man who had been blind from his birth. That his sight was fully restored was entirely evident to all who knew him. Yet the religious leaders, namely the Pharisees, rejected this man and his account of what had happened to him. However, Jesus in His love and compassion found him. And, in response to the Savior’s invitation, he trusted in the Lord and worshipped Him.
Do you feel rejected, alone, forsaken, and misunderstood? Jesus offers Himself to you as Savior and Lord. Will you believe in Him today? You will never have to feel alone or forsaken again. Best of all, you will be on your way to heaven to spend eternity with Jesus.
