Saved or Condemned
“By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith” (Hebrews 11:7).
The same gospel that saves those who believe, also condemns the unrepentant and rejecter. Noah built the ark as a refuge for whoever would heed the warning. “God … spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly” (2 Peter 2:4-5).
Sadly, only seven people besides Noah eventually entered the place of refuge and were saved from the flood. The ark was not only a place of safety and sanctuary for those eight souls at that time, but also consigned the unbelieving world to judgment.
Christ died to save us from the storm of judgment that is coming soon on this earth, and from the eternal judgment and consequences of hell. Have you availed yourself of God’s Ark, the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you saved or condemned?
