The Creator
“All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3).
“His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds … and upholding all things by the word of His power” (Hebrews 1:2-3).
The Lord Jesus is the Creator as well as the one who sustains this world and the whole universe. And yet, wonder of wonders, He is interested in every detail of your life and mine. He died for us! He lives for us! He is coming for us! He has prepared the Father’s house for us! We will share and have part in His kingdom … Why? Just because He loves us! Is that too much to take in? Yes, if it weren’t for the confirmation of the Word of God, we would never believe it. But it is gloriously true.
What more do we want or need than this? The Creator and Sustainer of the universe is for us and with us. “He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper … . Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to-day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:5-6, 8).
