Faith

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report” (Hebrews 11:1-2).

Here are seven short statements regarding faith:

1. Faith rests on the Word of God without question.

2. Faith does not reason, but faith is reasonable.

3. Faith acts on the Word of God without hesitation.

4. Faith does not look at itself, but at what Christ is and what He has done.

5. Faith has Christ in glory as its object.

6. Faith has complete confidence in the goodness of God, and His ability to see us through.

7. Faith is the opposite of unbelief.

“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seednothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20).

Remember, it is not the amount of faith we have but who our faith is in.

“Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22).
