Praise Him

A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations” (Psalm 100:1-5).

Worship, praise, and thanksgiving all go together. We worship the Lord for who He is. We praise Him for what He has done. We thank Him for what He has given to us. So today as we meet around the Lord Jesus to remember Him in His death, let’s remember to worship Him, praise Him, and thank Him.

We can praise Him at any time, of course. But it is a special privilege to praise Him collectively as we meet in His presence. He has done so much for us, and given us so many blessings. How can we not open our mouths in worship, praise, and thanksgiving?
