BeautyPart 2

Continued from last week.

“So shall the King greatly desire thy beauty: for He is thy Lord; and worship thou Him” (Psalm 45:11).

“My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away” (Song of Solomon 2:10).

Last week, we noted some Scriptures regarding the beauties of Christ, and the need to focus on those heart-captivating attributes and glories. But the verses quoted today give us a different perspective. They indicate the beauty and joy the Lord finds in us. It is really overwhelming to think that the Lord looks down from heaven, and finds His delight in those whom He calls “My fair one.” Can it be? Yes indeed! Further in Psalm 45:13, we read, “The King’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.”

The day is coming when “He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing. He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied” (Zephaniah 3:17; Isaiah 53:11). As we think of His beauties and the beauty He sees in us, what a response of worship and praise it will produce our heart!
