Well-Informed Someone made this comment to me the other day: “If you don’t read or listen to the news you will be uninformed. If you read or listen to the news you will be misinformed.” There is a lot of truth to a statement like that! But let’s put it another way: “If you don’t read your Bible you will be uninformed, and if you do read your Bible you will be well-informed.” Here’s how the writer of Psalm 119 expressed it:“Thou through Thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for Thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Thy precepts” (verses 98-100). The Bible informs us as to what is ahead for this world. It fits what is happening at this present time, and is more up-to-date than the daily newspaper or news broadcast. Read it each day, listen to its message, and take heed to what it says. You will be well-informed and never misled or misguided. The writer of the Psalm also said: “Thy word is true from the beginning.” (Verse 160).
