Love Wins The other day, I was out for a morning walk around the neighborhood of the home I was staying in. As I passed by one of the houses, I noticed a sign on the front lawn. Among other things it said, In Our America, Love Wins! Well, I pondered this, and realized that God’s love and not man’s perversion of the term is to be the keynote and primary motive in each of our lives as Christians. Just before the Lord left the disciples to go to the cross and then return to heaven, He gave them several exhortations as to practical love and effects. Here are a selected few: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you” (John 13:34). “By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35). “If a man love Me, he will keep My words” (John 14:23). “Continue ye in My love” (John 15:9). Yes, God’s love wins, and remember,“Now abideth faith, hope, charity (love), these three; but the greatest of these is charity (love)” (1 Corinthians 13:13).
