The Word of ….

God has spoken to us through the Bible, and as “The Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23), it is referred to in different ways. Here are ten of them:

•“The Word of God” (Revelation 1:2).

•“The Word of the Lord” (1 Peter 1:25).

•“The Word of Truth” (James 1:18).

•“The Word of His Grace” (Acts 20:32).

•“The Word of Reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:19).

•“The Word of Righteousness” (Hebrews 5:13).

•“The Word of Christ” (Colossians 3:16).

•“The Word of Life” (Philippians 2:16).

• “The Word of Faith” (Romans 10:8).

•“The Word of My Patience” (Revelation 3:10).

What great importance is placed on the revealed mind of God! In this book, which we often esteem so lightly and take for granted, we have God’s message of warning, hope and blessing as to the future, as well as all that we need to know to live for Him in the present.
