City in the west of Judah, but reckoned to Dan, on the Philistine frontier: it was the birth-place of Samson, and he was buried in its neighborhood (Josh. 15: 33; Josh. 19:4141And the coast of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and Ir-shemesh, (Joshua 19:41); Judg. 13:2,252And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.
