The Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.1 – The bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.2
Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life. … He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. … Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing.3
A new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; … let us draw near.4

The joy of the Lord is your strength.1 – The kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.2 – Be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.3
By him … let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.4
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.5 – Sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing.6 – We glory in tribulations also.7

Mount Sion, which is Hermon.1 – There the Lord commanded the blessing, even life forevermore.2 – I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.3
My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass.4 – As the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I send it.5
God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.6 – And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.7 – It is like the precious ointment upon the head, … even Aaron’s … that went down to the skirts of his garments.8

This poor widow hath cast in more than they all.1 – Whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.2 – If there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.3
Let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.4 – If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?5 – He which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.6
When ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.7

Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out.1
Behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge!2 – The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.3
The Comforter, … is the Holy Ghost.4 – The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.5
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace.6
In a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.7
All these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.8

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.1 – Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.2 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist steadfast in the faith.3
Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?4 – Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.5
Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.6
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.7

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.1 – Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.2 – I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.3 – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.4
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith.5 – He that is spiritual judgeth all things.6
Take heed what ye hear.7 – I know thy works, … and how … thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars.8 – Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.9
He calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.10

Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down.1 – As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?2 – Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.3
Our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.4 – Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.5 – God our Savior, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope.6 – Whom having not seen, ye love.7
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.8 – It shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.9

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.1 – This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.2
The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.3 – By the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.4 – Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.5
We have … a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.6 – That we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.7

How forcible are right words!1 – I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance2
They that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.3 – If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.4
The Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone.5 – Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.6
Let … no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.7 – Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.8 – Considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.9
