A city of Gad, east of the Jordan, between Succoth and Debir (Josh. 13:27²⁷And in the valley, Beth-aram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward. (Joshua 13:27)): held to be the same as BETH-HARAN of Numbers 32:36³⁶And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, fenced cities: and folds for sheep. (Numbers 32:36). Identified with Tell Rameh, 31° 50’ N, 35° 38’ E.
