(son of strife). The Shuhite friend of Job (Job 2:11; 8; 18; 25¹¹Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. (Job 2:11))

Concise Bible Dictionary:

One of Job’s friends, “the Shuhite,” perhaps a descendant of Shuah the son of Abraham and Keturah. He in no way understood Job’s case, and could only judge that Job was being punished for wickedness, whereas God had called Job a righteous man. God’s anger was kindled against Bildad; but he, with his two companions, brought a sacrifice, and when Job prayed for them God accepted him (Job 2:11¹¹Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.
