. Those presented as a
meat
offering
were to be
unleavened
, as typifying
the
Lord
Jesus
in His
perfect
humanity
begotten
of
the
Holy
Spirit
(Lev. 2:4; Lev. 7:12).
Ephraim
(that is
Israel
) is compared to “a cake not turned” (Hos. 7:8), as unpalatable, like the lukewarm, “neither hot nor cold,” of Revelation 3:16.
