If the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth besides, then shall I know that Thou wilt save. And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowlful of water. Let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew. And God did so that night. (Judg. 6:37‑40)
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and Thou hast brought Me into the dust of death. (Psa. 22:15)
O Christ, what burdens bowed Thy head! Our load was laid on Thee; Thou stoodest in the sinner’s stead — To bear all ill for me; A victim led, Thy blood was shed; Now there’s no load for me.
