God my maker, who giveth songs in the night. (Job 35:10)

The Lord will command His loving‑kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. (Psa. 42:8)

I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart. (Psa. 77:6)

My songs have been the songs of the       daylight,    Of the sunshine of His face, Of the hours of blest communion,    And the wonders of His grace.

In my song, has been forgotten    The touch of His hand in my plight; Oh! how easy to sing in the sunshine —    He alone can give songs in the night.

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins. (Rom. 3:25)

Vain is the thought of man    To merit heaven by prayer; It’s only Jesus’ precious blood    Can give admission there.

None can, without the blood    Of Jesus, be forgiven; It’s resting on the blood alone    That fits the soul for heaven.
