(place for citizens). Cain and Nimrod city-builders (Gen. 4:17; 10:9-11¹⁷And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. (Genesis 4:17)

(Luke 2:11)). “City of God,” Jerusalem (Psa. 46:4⁴There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. (Psalm 46:4); Neh. 11:1¹And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.
