It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?” Paul wrote that “unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,” while Job’s friend Eliphaz said, “I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number.” “God is greater than man. Why dost thou strive against Him? for He giveth not account of any of His matters.” “Behold, God is great, and we know Him not, neither can the number of His years be searched out.” “Touching the Almighty, we cannot find Him out: He is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: He will not afflict.” God wants us to “be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.” |
