¿Cuándo hiere la piedra?

Esta profecía tan sencilla, lástima que sea tantísimas veces mal interpretada. Basta mencionar una de las interpretaciones erróneas. Hoy día se oye mucho respecto a la extensión de ese reino por medio del movimiento misionero llevado a cabo por legos o seglares, recibiendo la piedra rodante más impulso mediante grandes sumas de dinero que nos traerán el reino. También se oye mucho de un movimiento de unidad entre protestantes y romanos que se llama “Ecumenismo”. Será aplastado (Isaías 8:9-169Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. 10Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us. 11For the Lord spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, 12Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. 13Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. 14And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. 16Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. (Isaiah 8:9‑16); Ezequiel 21:2727I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. (Ezekiel 21:27)). “Del revés, del revés la tornaré”. Se ve que las ideas de los hombres son erróneas. Nuestro Señor Jesucristo en Su primera venida no dio el mandamiento de desmenuzar el dominio de los gentiles por medio del Evangelio, ni tampoco atacó al Imperio romano que se hallaba durante ese tiempo en complete dominio mundial. En realidad el Imperio romano fue, oficialmente, el medio o instrumento de Su muerte en la cruz. Él no hirió a la imagen: la imagen, por decirlo así, lo hirió a Él.
Ahora bien, la piedra hiere los pies, y en ellos los diez dedos; por tanto, antes de que la piedra hiera, es necesario que existan los diez dedos para herir. Cuando Cristo vino la primera vez, el Imperio romano era una unidad; la división en el Oriental y Occidental del Imperio romano, representada por las dos piernas de la imagen, todavía no había acontecido. Si no existían las piernas todavía, ni los pies, tampoco los dedos se veían, ¿cómo era posible que la primera venida de Cristo fuera el cumplimiento de este sueño, como enseñan algunos escritores? ¡No! La piedra hiera la imagen. Cuando los diez dedos, o sea la división final en diez reinos existen, el imperio será rehabilitado, pero para finalizarse en una grande catástrofe.
