Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.1 – If the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.2 – Now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.3 – If we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.4 – The Lord Jesus Christ … shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.5
The firstborn from the dead.6 – If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.7
I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.8

The Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.1 – That which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.2 – The Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.3 – Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.4
What is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?5 – What things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.6
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts.7 – Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing.8

I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil.1 – My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.2
How precious … are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.3 – O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.4 – Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward.5
Not many mighty, not many noble, are called.6 – Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom?7 – Having nothing, and yet possessing all things.8 – The unsearchable riches of Christ.9

The hope which is laid up for you in heaven.1 – If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.2 – We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.3 – Whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.4 – No man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.5
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.6 – The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.7 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.8 – Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.9 – By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.10

It is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.1
Learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. … Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.2
I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning.3
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.4
Watch, … for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.5

Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high, who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!1 – Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.2 – I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. … Hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Cause me to hear thy loving-kindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.3
Because thy loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.4 – Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.5
Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do.6

How excellent is thy loving-kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life.1
Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty.2 – Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.3 – This spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive.4
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters.5 – The Spirit and the bride say, Come. … And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.6

He is the head of the body, the church.1 – The head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.2 – We are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.3
A body hast thou prepared me.4 – Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.5
Thine they were, and thou gavest them me.6 – He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world.7 – Whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son.8
Grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, … maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.9

Thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.1
When I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; … yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine.2 – Whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth.3
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.4 – Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.5

Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted.1 – Be still, and know that I am God.2 – Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?3 – The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.4
Mary … sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. … Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.5 – In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.6 – Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still.7
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.8
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established.9
He that believeth shall not make haste.10
