Where David slew Goliath in the presence of the two armies (1 Sam. 17:2,19²And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines. (1 Samuel 17:2)
¹⁹Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines. (1 Samuel 17:19); 1 Sam. 21:9⁹And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me. (1 Samuel 21:9)). Identified with Wady es Sunt, 31° 41' N. 34° 57' E.
