(calf). (1) A son of Midian (Gen. 25:4⁴And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah. (Genesis 25:4); 1 Kings 4:10¹⁰The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher: (1 Kings 4:10)). (2) A son of Ezra (1 Chron. 4:17¹⁷And the sons of Ezra were, Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon: and she bare Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa. (1 Chronicles 4:17)). A chief of Manasseh (1 Chron. 5:24²⁴And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valor, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
