• What did the king do for Mordecai who had saved him from death? Nothing. This often is the reaction of the "great ones" (see Gen. 40:23). But it was not only in the chronicles of the king that Mordecai's act was inscribed, it was before God, and God brings it to remembrance at a convenient time.
