Hamath-Zobah

A city conquered by Solomon (2 Chron. 8:33And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah, and prevailed against it. (2 Chronicles 8:3)). It can scarcely be the same as the Hamath which is mentioned in 2 Chronicles 8:44And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath. (2 Chronicles 8:4). Probably Hamath was a province or city belonging to Zobah.
