Designation of Shammah and Elika, two of David’s mighty men, probably from some place called Harod (2 Sam. 23:2525Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite, (2 Samuel 23:25)). Apparently the former is called SHAMMOTH the HARORITE in 1 Chronicles 11:2727Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite, (1 Chronicles 11:27).
