The N.E. boundary of the promised land both in the past and in the future (
Num. 34:9-10

And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazar-enan: this shall be your north border.

And ye shall point out your east border from Hazar-enan to Shepham: (Numbers 34:9‑10)

And the border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side. (Ezekiel 47:17)

Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for Dan. (Ezekiel 48:1)
). Mr. Porter has identified it with
Kuryetein
, about sixty miles E.N.E. of Damascus, where there are copious fountains, which “Enan” seems to imply.
