City of Phrygia in Asia Minor, for the saints of which Epaphras had a great zeal, or for whom he labored much (Col. 4:13¹³For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis. (Colossians 4:13)). Now called Pambuk Kalesi, 37° 58' N, 29° 11' E. It is remarkable for its hot calcareous springs, which have deposited curious incrustations.
