Name in its uncontracted form given to Joshua by Moses. He “called OSHEA the son of Nun Jehoshua,” thus altering his name from “Deliverance” to “Jehovah is Saviour” (Num. 13:1616These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land.
