(just). (1) Surname of Joseph, or Barsabas (Acts 1:23²³And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. (Acts 1:23)). (2) A Corinthian convert (Acts 18:7⁷And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue. (Acts 18:7)). (3) Surname of Jesus, a friend of Paul (Col. 4:11¹¹And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me. (Colossians 4:11)).
