Modern Malta
The island on which Paul was shipwrecked. He and the whole of the ship’s company were received kindly by the inhabitants. Paul cured the father of the chief man and many others. They stayed there three months, and were bountifully supplied when they left (
Acts 28:1-11
1

Who also honored us with many honors; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.
11

). It is the well-known island of Malta in the Mediterranean.
