Nicopolis

Boyd’s Bible Dictionary:

Concise Bible Dictionary:

Place where Paul purposed to winter and where Titus was to meet him (Titus 3:1212When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter. (Titus 3:12)). The subscription to the epistle refers to the city of Nicopolis of Macedonia; but this has no authority, it was probably the city founded by Augustus on a peninsula in Epirus in Greece. Its ruins are now called Paleoprevesa, 39° N, 20° 44' E.
