That is a general maxim, true of any one; true even for the beast. If he has been leading others into captivity, he is to go into that or worse himself: if he has killed with the sword, he must also be killed (Lectures on Revelation 13:1-10 by W. Kelly)

J. N. Darby Translation

+
10
If any one leads into captivity, he goes into captivity. If any one shall kill with the sword, he must with the sword be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

W. Kelly Translation

+
10
If Anyone is for captivitya, into captivity he goeth; if Anyone will kill with sword, with sword must he be killed. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

WK Translation Notes

+
a
The MSS. are in strange confusion as to this verse. The common reading seems to give the sense; and the margin of the RV expresses it better perhaps than the text. There is a repetition of "into captivity" in some of the principal MSS. But these words might have been as readily omitted as added. If the allusive contrast is with {vi 19318}{/vi}, it tends to confirm the repeated form. The sense is the same either way, whether expressed or implied.
