Gog and Magog here are symbolical expressions, founded, it is true, upon the prophet of the Chebar, but entirely distinct. The word by Ezekiel has its accomplishment when Israel is restored. (See Ezek. 36, 37.) (Lectures on Revelation 20: Part 3 by W. Kelly)
The last enemy which Israel had to encounter before the millennium was the literal Gog; the last rebellion after it derives its name from that well-remembered effort, of the outside nations. Countless swarms from the four quarters of the earth, under the guidance of Satan, will repeat (never to be repeated again) what the Russian chief will have done before them. (Lectures on Revelation 20: Part 3 by W. Kelly)
Gog and Magog: Countless hordes from the four quarters of the earth. Repetition on a larger scale of Ezek. 38. (Revelation 20 Symbols by A.H. Burton)
