And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the Lord, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord. (1 Kings 8:63)
And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings.

And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the Lord, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord. (1 Kings 8:63)
Did Solomon offer just one animal as a peace offering? NO! 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. Do you realize how many that is? And yet peace was not made with God until the ONE perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. It’s an amazing fact that “not all the blood of beasts, on Jewish altars slain, could give the guilty conscience peace, or wash away its stain.” But the sacrifice of Jesus did accomplish those things once and for all.
